Piedmont Hills starters are all 6-1 or shorter. CV has three 6-3 and taller starters

Teams exchange 3-pt shots to start. CV looks to be bigger and more athletic to take 7-3 lead at Q1 5:45

Both teams primarily 3-point shooting. CV made 5 while PH made 3 3-point shots in Q1. CV leads 23-13 after Q1

Neither team can shoot from the perimeter. CV gets seventh foul. CV 26-17 Q2 3:42

@infofreak goose persin missed all five of his shots in first half so far.

Not much better for everyone else as No 3-point makes in Q2. Free throw attempt seven for each team.

CV 33-25 at half

No! Go goose go. With a name like that we need him scoring!

I actually think CV is a more seasoned team and will win this one

Q3 5:35 first 3-pt make since Q1 by PH. Teams exchange 3s then. PH heats up but also miss two layups to trail 44-42 Q3

@infofreak Persin made two 3s

PH 7 3s while CV 6 3s in game

Another miss in paint by PH. But they do cut to 45-44 deficit at 6:15

CV makes both 1:1 and then steals but misses 1:1. PH makes 3 to trail 55-54 with 5 sec left

Goose half court hits backboard, rim and out. CV 56-54 - bellarmine next

But still a loss as expected. PH thanks god for the CCS Open enabling them to win D1 and a chance to experience a 1 and done in Norcals ;)

And Berkeley is crushing Oak Grove by like 20. Hard to believe Freedom did not get to play in Norcals. What a travesty

Again notno beat a dead horse, but it was inevitable after they ran roughshod through an also ran D1 in CCS. Great season though for both teams. Interesting that Menlo-Atherton beat Berkeley albeit early but shows how PH and Oak Grove were in over their heads.

its great for all of these kids to have good records and get a taste of norcals. But you look at some of the weaker teams that were 1 or 2 in their league but got flushed out right away when against competent teams. Look at their SOS, it all eventually comes back to haunt them. Good teams with 7 - 10 losses are still going because they put on a tough schedule.
