Thanks to CIF authorities who helpfully limited their 2020 NorCal Open Division to just five teams and the corresponding SoCal Open to seven, there is now more than enough precedent for CCS to reduce its Open participants to fewer than eight. It's high time.

Thanks to CIF authorities who helpfully limited their 2020 NorCal Open Division to just five teams and the corresponding SoCal Open to seven, there is now more than enough precedent for CCS to reduce its Open participants to fewer than eight. It's high time.

It all comes down to having 8 Open caliber teams. If you have 8 send 8. If you don't have 8 send what you have. That makes sense. I don't feel a need to limit it below 8 as a mandate.
