ACALANES coaching position

I am hearing that they are getting some applicants that have VARSITY head coaching experience. Some viable candidates are applying after the job was declined by the Miramonte JV coach. This might actually turn into getting a coach with more experience than JV level. Getting an on campus coach would be a great move by the admin at Acalanes. They have some good young players. A big man that will develop into an all -league player.

I thought Bill POwers was going to come back and coach. He did a great job a few years ago.

I thought Powers was back at Monte Vista as the new girls coach.

Powers is out so it's definitely somebody new coming in.

Coach Lyons would be a great coach for Mt. Diablo or Acalanes. He did a admirable job at Northgate considering the talent level. He kept all the games close and qualified for NCS>

I believe he has already accepted the Mt. Diablo job so good call on that one! I'd say Mt will benefit having a guy like him running the program.
