Just glanced at score posts and both DLS & Folsom in trouble with NorCal opponents [?] - is this correct... just feels strange 😄

If Folsom's in trouble, they're costing me NINE POINTS! Agh!
De La Salle leads 38-14.

He’s busy scoring the game on maxpreps. LOL.
What is sad about the whole thing is the guy makes people on this forum dislike Folsom. A great program with a bunch of standup students and this guy rolls onto the forums and poses as a Folsom superfan making the program look bad. I see Folsom loses and I think "oh good that guy isn't going to be posting garbage for the next week"

So true. It’s awesome what the kids and coaches have done there. Great community. But that guy single handily makes me root against them. I was pulling for DLS and now the get smoked by Rocklin in a league game. We Logan Webb in attendance??

What a great public school league that is. Such great community support for athletics. You don’t get in the Bay Area now. Not even close.

Calpreps is seriously broke. There is no justification for Folsom to be rated higher than undefeated Rocklin.
Usually by about now it’s pretty accurate but this year seems exceptionally bad. I think it was extremely tough to rate each team pre season with so many teams playing just a couple or no games at all last season. Hopefully it gets better in 2 weeks and I think it slowly is, about a month later than usual, usually by week 5 it’s pretty good, only downfall with a rating is that teams can get better or worse as the year goes on, the the trend feature is pretty cool.

As of today Saturday on CalPreps AFTER last nite's games for state of CA:

6. ROCKLIN 8-0
10. St. FRANCIS 6-0
11. DLS 5-2
17. FOLSOM 5-2
27. SERRA 6-0

I just don’t get this. The system rated DLS’ performance a 77 against Folsom and they ranked Rocklin’s a 87. Somehow that was enough to catapult rocklin past de La Salle and St.Francis. It’s supposed to be all math but I don’t see it. What week does cal preps stop using pre season rankings and solely depend on results?

Rocklin is the best team in NorCal right now.

St. Francis is #2

End of story.
Except for SF and DLS who are #1 and #2 because they have better wins then Rocklin or anyone else in Nor Cal…. 🤣🤣

I am sure Rocklin is fine with #3 with Serra due to Both teams Very Weak schedules…. When the Best team on your schedule is that Awful Folsom team that is really sad….

At least DLS has a win over a real team like SDCC otherwise Nor Cal’s Top Tear teams would look Awful this year because none of them except for DLS scheduled anyone good outside or Nor Cal….

But that is status Quo for The “Baby Blue” of Folsom…. 🤣🤣🤣

I didn't see him there. But the PA announcer did 'shout out' his name prior to kick off. I imagine if he was there they'd have asked him to take a bow or something.

FWIW, my son played football with him back in 2008/09 and I coached him in football for a season and in the gridiron tournament. Very good kid.

Does their system take into account score differential? Rocklin did score more points and yield less against Folsom than did DLS. That would be my guess why their performance rating was higher. But I don't pretend to know how they figure things over there.

Of course we also know Folsom was missing their starting QB against Rocklin but weren't against the Spartans. That would certainly help account for Rocklin holding them to a lower score.

But Rocklin is still minus their starting QB and conceivably could have scored more points against Folsom with him in the lineup.

Regardless, I think most if not all of us would rate DLS above every NorCal team not named St. Francis-Mountain View until further notice.

For me, I'd go something like this:

1 - St. Francis-Mountain View
2 - De La Salle
3 (tie) - Serra-San Mateo
3 (tie) - Rocklin
5 (tie) Buchanan
5 (tie) Pittsburg
