AMac the best Player in the PAC-12 this year

We had a similar thread on these two players four years ago!!

Both are great players, but I would love to know the reasoning why Sabrina isn't the best player in the Pac-12

Both players had great senior seasons, but the stats lean towards SI.
2 pt % SI 51% AM 46%
3 pt % SI 39% AM 28%
RB per game: SI 8.6 AM 5.6
Assist to TO Ratio: SI 3/1 AM .9/1 SI had 299 assists vs. 105 for AM
Obviously stats don't tell the whole story, but it is certainly part of the story.

Lean towards SI? They overwhelmingly point to SI. Plus Oregon won the PAC 12 title.

Sabrina also had much better players around her ... three of them may be drafted by the WNBA next month.

Stats you didn’t show steals and average points per game...
Higher Average points per game while shooting at a lower percentage is actually a poor stat, not a good one. All it shows is that you're taking a lot more shots but are not as effective. AM led in steals 68 to SI 49.

So the stats show that SI was a better and more effective shooter, took care of the ball and set her teammates up by a substantial margin, and was a better rebounder. in fact AM had a negative assist to turnover ratio which is another poor stat. AM led in only one category - steals. By any measurable standard, SI was the stronger player.

Why this is even a discussion is beyond me. The initial one where some people were saying that Mac should have replaced Sabrina in the Mc Donalds game was stupid, although more viable, enough. In retrospect, it appears that Mac should have been in the Mc Donalds game, but not replacing Sabrina. There were plenty of other players she could and probably should have replaced. It seemed obvious that the argument was directed less at Mc Donald's merits rather as a cut on Sabrina's.

I understand why people do not want to seem harsh, because they want to give Mc Donald her proper due, but she is and will be gitting her proper due without comparing her this season to what Sabrina has accomplished. Sabrina was included in the ESPN balloting on the voting for the best college players of all time. She, rightly or wrongly, is also being discussed on the Boneyard as perhaps the "Goat" in WCBB. She was a lock for Player of the Year before the season even started and was unanimously voted first-team AA. Something that has happened sparingly in WCBB history. She was as obvious a selection for both as there ever was. No one on any WCBB site ever ventured any question of that fact.

This post is not a response to Becoolpt55, because his proposition is so ridiculous it does not even warrant any sort of response. This post is directed at those who did respond with stats and other types of reasons. What is wrong with you guys when you give credence to someone who seldom if ever makes any sense and comes up with a totally absurd proposition like this one.

Now it is possible that Sabrina does not do as well at the next level as most expect her too. But what she has accomplished in WCBB can not be denied. Three things that she excels in, BBIQ, work ethic, and desire, will always carry over to whatever level she plays at.

But I suppose those things do not seem important to someone that was totally enamored with a certain southern Cal high school player who was more flash than substance and has done nothing in college. But I suppose people who lack BBIQ depth would be incapable of recognizing either the importance of, the existence or lack of intangibles in basketball players.

Which So Cal player?

Becool must have worked with Ayanna Clark at one point -- he referred to her as Yanni -- and he posted about her a lot. She's at a JC in Arizona now ...
