I’ll go the other way. After losing a heartbreaking triple OT game to DLS, they rallied to beat their arch nemesis Foothill to end their season, and then upset both DLS & Dublin all this week to claim the EBAL championship. Great job by the AV coaching staff and players.

Great job by the Amador Valley player and coaches. As Observer stated, the Dons had a great run with the win over Foothill, beating Dela in Concord, and then going into Dublin and beating the Gaels. No easy task.

Congratulations to Amador Valley.

Be interesting how high this moves them up in seeds. Fifth place in regular season vs playoff winner. Means they get a home opener no matter what their seed is, correct (as league champs)?

Not no matter what, but you are right, they get a home opener unless they are playing a higher seeded league champ. For instance, if they get a #10 seed and face Logan who is seeded #7 and also a league champ, they could be on the road. I'm not saying those will be the seeds, or that Logan even has the MVAL league champ status as they tied with MC and may or may not get the league champ status for NCS. They should both be higher seeded anyway.

EBAL playoff should not be factored in at all in future seasons if this is amadors fate this year. Ebal champ should never be a 10 seed.
