Amos Talalele commits to Cal!

This is huge! First and foremost for Amos Talalele and his family but not also for Cal and Santa Clara High School! In an era where every parent seems to be getting brainwashed by the privates, this kid went to his local, public high school and ended up in a better position than some of the kids of parents who were suckered into thinking they were choosing greener paths.

Kudos to the family for trusting the public school system and to the coaching staff for coming through and getting that kid where he should be.

When you are that big and quick it makes no difference.
Like I always say.. you will be found.
yeah but you got to ideally be competing against top competition so the d1 recruiters can adequately assess you. That's why Trinity league and SoCal is recruited heavily because recruiters know the level of competition down there. I don't know who Santa Clara highschool plays, what league they are in, and what their preseason is like but I know it's nothing like the Bosco's

Makes little difference when you are given the tools and have the drive. You think it would have mattered if raleek brown stayed at Edison in Stockton? No.

When was the last time Santa Clara had a D1 football player? Really cool for Amos and school.

I think there is a greater chance of getting noticed playing at a well known school, but coaches get paid a lot of money to know where the talent is at. And they are smart enough to know what skills will translate regardless of the competition a player faces

For Josh Allen he was found after Juco but he had really difficult time finding a college to play at. Once he made it to the D1 level then the coaches developed to what he is today. As for Odell, he played at Isidore Newman, the same highschool Arch Manning #1 recruit in the nation is at. Trust me it is not hard to find talent in New Orleans especially at Newman and St. Augustine.

Amos flipped to $C lol so much for the 100% committed, these kids should just take their visits and after all their visits be “committed”

Wow that was fast.

My favorite flippling story was a player whose quote was something like, "I'm committed to this school, but I'm still going to take all my visits and listen to other schools." LOL
