I'm sure this was a band aid hiring in the first place. You have to win games. This year Cal will be in the lower 4 of the PAC 12. Better take that #12 to top 5 after the year they will have. @MC415

The 2018 class is going to end up nice I think he makes it more than 2 years........will they be better than a edge tourney team? Probably not

I'm happy for the kid. We all should be. Great school. But the reality is CAL's athletics financially speaking are barely treading water. Actually they aren't. They are strapped with so much debt from that Stadium rebuild and can barely service the interest payments currently. They will be dropping several team sports in the next year or 2. No other way around it. The coach is probably fine. Who else are they going to get for what they are paying?
