Remc…..You are talking about St. Mary's Albany right;Hope they aren’t playing the same non league schedule as last year. Good grief
Yes, same school. Weird at one point did they move or boundaries different? Growing up it was always St Mary's of Berkeley.
Doesn't look too exciting is right.
Very disappointing non league slate.Usually they have one big time non league opponent. No O’Dowd?They’ve always been on the non league schedule.Looks like I’ll have to wait for the Salesian and El Cerrito games. PatheticRemc…..You are talking about St. Mary's Albany right;
8-18.....Tam road
8-25.....Richmond home
9-07.....Vallejo road
9-15.....Fairfield home
Not a very exciting preseason schedule, but things may have changed at St. Mary's....
I think thats correct . Was at a class reunion recently (3weeks ago) and the current school president was asked why the football program had fallen on such hard times.He gave an answer saying interest in football had waned. Several football alums took exception to that assessment, and he seemed to backpedal from that, but wouldn’t expound on what he meant. A once proud football school.Sad timesHas there been a shift at St. Mary's away from a focus from athletics?
I just remember seeing a note that the focus of the administration shifted a few years ago.
Yep, the front gate and the creek is Berkeley, the rest of the campus is AlbanyIts called st Marys Berkeley, but is actually within Albany city limits. Hasn't moved since close to 100 years ago when the school moved from Oakland
Mailbox is just across Cordonices Creek in Berkeley so school uses a Berkeley mailing address
Agree. Under Shaughnessey they were consistently good, Minor had some very good teams at times, but not like the Shaughnessey yearsTo me St.Marys haven't really been that powerhouse since Coach Shag left....Minor had few good years but very down last couple years.
Since they’ve gone coed, things have Grady went down. 630 total students,315 boys. When it was alll boys had about 425. When you’re that small 110 bodies make a differenceA
