Aptos 44 -Salinas 41
One of the "upsets" of the week as CalPreps projected Salinas winning by 42-28 over Aptos.
Salines was rated higher overall coming in with a much stronger "SOS".
In the weekly "Pick-Em" contest 23 posters picked Salinas to win with just 2 picking Aptos to win. Of the 2 picking Aptos to win the 2 posters picked as their lowest #1 & #2 game picks, while majority of posters picking Salinas chose them as a high pick at # 7-8-9-10 picks.

Salinas line on defense has been soft all year but they have very good LBs and DBs. Aptos o-line dominate Salinas upfront and Salinas defense didn't pick up the ball well which was Aptos excellent execution of Wing T. Fog and their dark uniforms probably didn't help Salinas defense either. Aptos defense was able to slow down Salinas offense with turnovers enough to win a race. Salinas also seems to have underestimated the Mariners after dominating them last season.
Will be interesting to see how Palma does. Last year Palma defense stopped Aptos pretty well most of the game until last 8 minutes, but this Palma teams doesn't have the offense yet as last years Palma team with the young line. Next year Palma should be pretty good with all the experience and talent they will return. Aptos is in the drivers seat now.

Aptos is one tough ass program, I need to drive over the 17 one of these days and catch a game there
The campus is great. Like the field as well and you are 5-10 minutes from breathtaking bay cliffs and beautiful views. You can get the view at sunset and make it to game. Dress warm though as the fog comes in and cools the place. Not a bad seat of a very nice field. I'm probably heading down to Salinas for the upcoming game against Palma if not too tired from a conference I am attending in Las Vegas this week.
