Folsom 2021 QB Ari Patu has committed to Stanford. Once the Cardinal offer came in, figured it would be hard to turn down.

Crazy. Might never take a snap as the official starter in a HS game at Folsom (if season is cancelled) but he’s good enough to be Stanford’s QB. Has this ever happened before at a school where the kid who played ahead of you wasn’t a d1 recruit? Happens down south in Trinity league but starters are going to schools like USC/UCLA.

Stanford is either genius or this is going to be a huge bust. Puzzling but who can turn down the cardinal.

Does he have to be a QB on The Farm?

Im sure he can play other positions but looks like he’s been recruited as a QB. Who knows though.
Stanford calls and you gotta go. QB recruiting is so hard. Maybe they see something that isn’t obvious.

Stanford has the QB that filled in for Costello admirably. His name is Davis Mills who was a 5 star recruit out of high school and he looks to be the heir apparent. Really good Young QB. In addition Stanford picket up a 4
Star QB who’s name is Tanner Mckee who was signed by Stanford out of high school but went on a 2 year Mormon mission that was cut short due to Covid-19.

So the Folsom QB better be content with being a 3rd or 4 string QB at Stanford. Can the Kid play any other position.

Is what has been going wrong for Stanford over the last couple of years is a horrible O-line. Your offence can’t work with a crappie O-line. Coach Shaw is getting away from the Jim Harbaugh working class O-line where you could run and even when the other team knew it was a run they could not stop it. Stanford delivered body blows that payed dividends in the 4th quarter. Another departure is not having those big TE’s

Stanford has remained a tight end factory. They have had tight ends drafted in 4 out of the past 5 years. Parkinson, drafted this year, is 6’7”.

I do agree that Mills is very good. Great arm and can run, too.
