Verbal Commits on Twitter has created a list of transfers it is really interesting to see how many kids are leaving from schools nowadays...

Frankie Ferrari and Mark Tollefson, along with a few other kids leaving USF, what is happening over in Frisco?
Trevor Dunbar is transferring from Washington St
Joey frenchwood from Montana St
Dulani Robinson from Pacific
Kendall Smith from UNLV to Northridge
Shon Briggs coming back from Wyoming college to SF CITY

Anyone know why these guys are transferring and where they may end up?

Dont you know? Ferrari does not commit to anything. In the last 4 years, hes transferred from Burlingame to Riordan back to Burlingame, went to USF and now is going somewhere else. Next year at this time, he'll likely transfer again.

Can't speak for anyone but Joey. It was not his choice to leave. Coach wanted to go in a different direction......

not oftened discussed .....

"The want to go in a diffent direction" or the "you didn't pick up our system like we thought you would"

"Well you can stay but you're not going to play; however give me some schools you want to go to and I'll make calls for you"

this is happening to a lot of players around this time of the year.

As I said before,, I clearly believe it weighs heavy on the right "fit" (as a whole)…One would think all you have to do is have your kid D1 ready, and he'l have instant success at that program, but maturity and self discipline play a HUGE role. Alot of 18year olds aren't ready to fight distractions, and concentrate on why they are in another state. I think Prep Schools play a huge role in a kid being on his own and successful…There was no hate whatsoever in Dunbars case. He just let his off the court antics effect his PT, and after sent to the back of the line, all the glory and glamour only came few far and between and the thrill was gone…

Not speaking for all these student athletes, but I know them all, and believe they all came from great households, and STRONGLY believe if my son was poverty stricken, and we lived in the slums, he would of cherished the deal that was given to him and played with a chip ON and OFF the court…Its easy to slip when you "think" you have someone ready to catch you.

They are transferring because they can !!!!!!! It really doesn't matter to anyone but them. They really should focus on using basketball as an avenue to gain an education.

The AAU teams and rankings play a big part in this, and the sad thing is it want stop. As I read the names of the transfers, the majority of the players are 5'10 or shorter!!

Because they aren't happy! Whether its playing time or future prospects.. No different than why people change jobs. Better perceived opportunities elsewhere. The grass is always greener argument.
