Congrats to These Guys!!!....

Garrett is one of My Favorite players I have watched at DLS!!!... If he ever played more then half a game he would have had 2,000 yards....

187 yards to open the season against STA and his huge game in The Open vs SJB!!! Big numbers against Two of the top 5 teams in the country with dozens of D1 recruits and Garrett was on of the 2 or 3 best players on the field in both games!!....

He might not have the big time offers but he was the best player in Nor Cal....

I got to see the PITT QB in the NCS Title game and came away very impressed with his play in very tough Conditions.... He made a lot of plays and really moved the ball against DLS.... Unfortunately the team had bad turnovers which did PITT in.... Very Talented Kid!!!!

Yes - really good list this year and reading the various articles of Merc News & Max-Preps. SO far hard to disagree with any of selections though I see one clear omission which I have no doubt about whatsoever.

Here's what I know & tell me if you disagree or if I'm wrong.

1rst team offense WR's = Troy Franklin - M-A and Terrance Loville - Serra.

Both excellent but against similar or same opponents S.I.'s Danny Ryan is a "no-brainer" for #1 WR in the CCS.
WHY you ask?? Against Serra in widely anticipated game at Levi Stadium Serra was able to contain Troy Franklin and he had literally no impact on game. Against both Serra & VC the #1 & #2 defenses in the entire CCS St. Ignatius Danny Ryan who obliterated the WCAL pass receiving record torched Serra for 9 receptions and VC for 10 receptions - he was simply unstoppable.

Serra's Terrance Loville was the #2 & yes I know I'm a Serra "Homer", however Loville came up time & again with clutch grabs & some of those were amazing. His leaping one-handed catch in the state bowl game against Corona Del Mar was the highlight catch of the season IMO and I beg anyone to provide a video of any better catch this season at the HS level.

So all 3 great WR's at the HS level and will go on to play at the next level. Just wondering WHY Danny Ryan not being recognized as having been now the best WR in WCAL history [Huh?? - includes multiple NFL & other pro players]...
