Coach Beauchman has assembled a very impressive staff of former Bellarmine star players
with impressive college playing and coaching credentials.

Austyn Carta-Samuels- OC and QB coach
played at Vanderbilt and coached in SEC at Vanderbilt and Missouri

Scott Glicksberg- OL
played at UCLA

Jim Wahler - DL
UCLA, NFL- Arizona , Wash, SF... Coached at De Anza College

Joe Gigantino- LB's and D Coodinator
Cal Poly

Brennan Ronald- Special Teams and Football Operations

This group has strong ties to what Bell Football likes to refer to as " The Tradition" as well as bringing the overall program up to date. The fact that there is a position for Special Team and Football OPS shows the effort to modernize the program. Having an Offensive and Defensive Coordinator and having 6 coaches as opposed to previously only 4 will also make a huge difference in player development.

Coach Beauchman is off to an impressive start.

Really young staff that could be around for decades...Jim Wahler...that's a name I haven't heard in a long long time...I wonder if Carta-Samuels is going to stick with the double wing or try to open things up.

Austyn Carta-Samuels at OC and QB coach seems to indicate Bells offense may open up a little bit at least. May throw the ball a little more on average and if they have talent at the position as far as a passer might open it up a lot. Seems they might go more the Serra route and run multiple offenses depending on situation and not rely on painting drying offense 99% of the time. It might increase the interest in the student body and also players close in the area instead of opting for the other privates.

They actually ran a lot of spread the last two years just not very well.
The Qbs and Receivers actually getting coached now will probably make a huge difference .

Another factor that could make a huge difference: An infusion of talent. Another terrific frosh team to bolster the 2019 version would be most helpful.

I’ve always appreciated how Serra molds its offense to personnel. Some basic principals but also freedom to tweak year to year. One of the reasons for their most recent success the past 5 years or so.

Having FIVE Division I players from the Class of 2020 also helps with a program's success.

Never said they didn't have a lot of talent. I'm more referencing their general offensive philosophy. It wasn't always this way
