Bellarmine takes 3-0 lead over Riordan with 38 yard FG early in fourth quarter. Best Bell plays are QB scrambles and screens. Pfaff apparently not playing.

Lots of key players out of this game. Wilhite not dressed and Jones out with injury. Still pretty entertaining despite the lack of offense.

Bellarmine hosts Serra at SJCC next week. Sans Pfaff, fuggettaboutit....and that's not good for the WCAL which needs some semblance of a title race in 2022.

I counted at least 5 Bells players not suited up - not including Pfaff.
Riordan has had up to 5 starters out the past few weeks, so I had a feeling it would be a low scoring game with the coaches both running a conservative playbook. Riordan's JVs remain undefeated in WCAL play.

South Bay WCAL heavyweights hurting. Bells, SF and VC all in various stages of concern. Only Mitty on an upward trajectory in 2022. Time for the SF Blessed Trinity to make hay.

5 starters out is a concern. 5 players out is the norm.

Honestly I dont know how kids cant make anything under 35 yards. There are so many video tutorials that show you how to strike the ball, the approach, how to swing your leg, etc. The only necessary thing you need is a kicker's shoe. If your kicker isnt getting snaps on offense or defense, Im not even sure what he is practicing every day.

Riordan’s failed attempt was on a botched hold as the kicker could not get off a clean kick. Riordan’s D did a great job limiting the Bells pass offense to 27 yards. Will need that same effort against pass happy Mitty.
