Ben Roseborough now at Colorado Prep

SJS is a joke. The section is out of touch and needs to be restructured. Their leadership cabinet needs much diversity. It isn’t a great representation of Sacramento…. From the bios, it appears to be a great representation of Placer County… No one appears to be from Sacramento…

Either that or the SJS should be broken up into 3 sections… Sacramento /Co, San Joauqin, Placer…

Let these kids play…

This is sad. They should have a panel of board members instead of one guy making decisions that do not affect him. This is terrible for the kids, community, and schools. Again, if we are for the kids, how is this helping kids?

Similarly, how does a kid benefit from transferring so many times? Settle in, go to school, make some friends and play basketball. Clearly Roseborough has some people in his ear that keep telling him to bounce around.

Couldn’t agree more. A lot of problems in life are self induced. Know the risk. Life is not fair sometimes.

Ben Roseborough should be playing right now at MT! He's a kid. If he has the grades, let him play.

Selfishly I don’t get to see him play. I don’t wish any hardship on any kid or family. But you do need to be careful when making big decisions like this.

There are plenty of reasons to transfer. But when you've transferred this many times, it's clear you're not benefitting from it.

Curious how many schools he has been at this far in his HS career.

if ‘bouncing around’ is what he wants, and what his parents want for him, well then, I suppose in his own eyes he’s succeeding. LOL

Just curious in what the “section” is protecting when making these decisions. How does it benefit the student athletes? What was proven or protected in this situation? If a kid wants to transfer 4 times in 4 years. It only affects one person and that’s that kid. If there’s proven recruiting punish the recruiting party, the coach, the AD whoever. The only thing that has been consistent in these rulings have been it’s inconsistency and short of having a legal team or a media outcry the kids are at the mercy of one man and one man only. We wouldn’t go for that anywhere else in life

The section is not advocating for the kids. If the kids have the grades and no disciplinary issues, they should be able to transfer. I’d be surprised if the section has a high student-athlete transfer rate.

They should follow the lead of the Southern Section, which is much more understanding of transfers.
