Big West cancels fall sports

In doing so today, Big West officials indicated that the basketball season is being monitored carefully. A decision regarding 2021 league play could be made in early January. The Big West embraces 11 schools, 10 of them California public institutions. Hawaii is the sole non-CA outfit. Cal State Northridge women have opted not to play this season due to pandemic concerns and a corresponding lack of available roster numbers.

Man, this could have a long-lasting effect on years to come...especially when it comes to eligibility. If they grant seniors an extra year (which a lot of schools are) it'll impact the 2021 class tremendously
