Brookside vs Edison

St Francis barely gets by Cosumnes Oaks, should have lost in regulation. Like I said in an earlier post, Oak Ridge gets much easier game than McClatchy.
Does Brookside have chance against McClatchy with only 5 players? Don't see how they can hang entire game, won't they be worn down by Que's full court pressure?
They only have to travel to McClatchy. The next two games are at UOP. I know you have wanted a SMS -BC match up for years now, but do you think BC would rather be in SMS side of the bracket than the one they are in now? Folsom beat OR 61 to 20 in their last match up. No matter where they were bracketed, unless they played them in the first or second game they would have to beat at least one good team to face them. I think they are perfectly happy to be in the bracket where they are now. Only short coming is having to face Mc Clatchy early. If they get by them the road is definitely easier. I don't see Mc Clatchy as being significantly better than the three teams ranked right behind them. It think a lot depends on match ups and if the other team is hitting their shots.
I think Oak Ridge and St Francis are over rated and didn't deserve their seedings. That being said, I think winner of McClatchy Brookside game will be favored to win semi final game at UOP next week.
Yup I don't know how Brookside can continue with so few players...against MC

I wanted to see that game...but I am lazy...I will probably stay in Stockton and go watch the Lincoln vs Folsom game....sounds like a good one also

Lincoln Folsom game will definitely be worth watching. If this was at neutral site, might be different. I think Lincoln is tough place to play, should give them advantage with home crowd.

Brookside play ok tonight but off a long layoff the got together in the 2 quater. In the 3rd the put the game away the taught when the was up by 25. The 4th quarter they play just enough to keep the lead and run down the clock because Brooksude knew McClatchy coach K sent someone to record the game. So who is worried about who? Brookside has a coach Pico can coach on the fly. Brookside will play like themselves regardless. Pico was a player before so he can make them quick adjustments within the first 2 to 3 minutes. Yes we have 6 again!!!
For those that say we don't have a program look how is playing on Thursday and who is done for the year!! THE PROGRAM MOVES ON!!!!!!

basketba11- I think it is unlikely that BC beats Mc Clatchy but it is not impossible. If they still are only playing with 5 players the odds shrink significantly. I frankly think they would have a hard time beating any of the top four teams. I do think that Folsom probably deserves to be in the top four instead of OR. The main reason for my post is that I just don't see a scenario where as BC would fair too much better if they traded places with Folsom like Jazz suggested. It is tough having to play Mc Clatchy in the second round but even if they were to trade places with Folsom they would still have to face LIncoln who I think would beat them especially at Lincoln which has funky sight lines that visiting players often have a problem with which was one of multiple reasons they beat SMS there.
I tried to come up with a bracket that was more favorable but yet still justifiable for BC which would give them the opportunity to face SMS which is what Jazz wants. The best case scenario I could come up with was for BC to take the #6 spot from St Francis. Thats just one spot up and do-able.. They would then face OR in the second game instead of Mc Clatcy. I also would have moved up Folsom to #3 and moved down OR to #5, which would mean that BC would have to face Folsom in the second game. I do not think they would be able to beat Folsom either. The only way they would be able to face SMS is if they were moved down to either #8 or #9 and faced them in the second game which is worse for them than facing Mc Clatchy.
Even if I tried to set up a bracket to make it happen It ran into difficulties. The people that make up the brackets are not really concerned about making Jazz's dream match up happen. As I mentioned before they also had to keep OR and Folsom in opposite ends of the bracket. My whole point was to point out to him that they were in the weaker half of the bracket. So if they could by chance get by Mc Catchy it would be easier to get to the final game. While it is an easier bracket, I do believe the most realistic objective for them would be to get into the final four for play off purposes. Unfortunately they have to go through Mc Clatchy to do that according to the way things are set up presently.

B side vs SMS....not only my dream matchup...many people of Stockton have wondered....can that little school beat SMS.....you know me I always root for the underdog...just like i root for East side college prep....when I they play any of the Wcal teams

byI don't think BC matches up well with SMS. Teams that swing the ball around to multiple open 3 pt shooters have the best shot at beating them. Now that BC has more than 5 players they have a far better shot at pulling an upset against a lot of other teams however..Don't know what would be considered an upset however because there isn't that much of a difference between the top rated teams. It will depend on match ups and who's shots are dropping.
With SMS seemingly getting it's injured players back they will be hard to beat in the SJS playoffs. Right now Folsom appears to be playing very good ball. Of course they have to get by Lincoln in their gym which is a very hard place to play for away teams. If anyone got shafted it was them at #5. They should have at least been # 3. Davis played really well against St Marys tonight. The shot lights out from outside and led for most of the game until Athleticism won out. I believe St Mary's probably only hit two threes the whole night. Davis is a very good team and it's a shame they had to play St Mary's before the Simi's. Davis's game tonight was a perfect example of the type of team that can give SMS trouble. Move the ball and hit your outside shots. Thats why I stated that BC didn't match up really well with SMS.
