Campo 49 MM 44

Or just another average coach at MM

Comments like this make your posts less credible. Kelly and his staff have done a nice job this year with Miramonte. Could it be that Campo, which has some nice players, is starting to find their stride?

MM hasn't lost a league game since 2010-11. Do you really think Kelly would give up a game to their rivalry school and have to share a league title with them just to TRY to avoid going to the open.
If the MM girls were holding back you sure fooled me.
This is their worst loss. Their other 2 coming from the #1 in team in Oregon and the #2 team in CO. Otherwise MM is looking at 23-3 season.
MM is still going to the open.

Outlook

Teams from Oregon and Co don't match up will with good Norcal team. Good Job Campo for an excellently win or MM. Coach have to coach when all the stars are gone. Campo is a good team and wound how the rankings will look the way when SMS drop down last week. The question is how far does MM drop in the ranking. Remember Brookside beat Campo!!!!!! According to kast week pole Campo wasn't even on the but they where on mine!!!!!!

MM shot the three unusually poorly--they not only missed, but missed badly--front rim, air ball, nothing but backboard. surprising because MMs 3 shooters have good shot mechanics, are usually in the cylinder with part of the ball even when they miss. possibly because Campo extended their defense, forced shooters to hurry/alter their shot. Campo handled MM press well, and shut down the paint to dribble penetration, and seemed to anticipate MMs half court offense well. Clair Steele scored more than half of MM's points, most from individual effort rather than out of their offensive set. lowest point total of the season, 33 fewer than in their previous meeting. credit to Campo for outstanding defensive plan and execution.

I would highly doubt they will be an open team. Campo has losses to other teams, which would now be ahead of MM in the rankings I would assume. But as respect points out, the rankings can be a joke and very hard to understand. You see Respect, I agreed with you on something.

Please read my post again. I did not say Campo would go to the open (they will not). I said Miramonte (MM) would still be going to the open even after their loss to Campo.

I understood that. My point, the teams that beat Campo are not only ranked higher than campo but will be ranked higher than MM as well.

Campolindo played very well and exposed the things we don't do well. Simply put, the better team Friday night won the game.

There will be no rematch, unfortunately, at least until next year.

The impact on the Open is unclear, as I think the biggest issue is how many SJS teams will be selected. If Folsom wins D1, they are not eligible, and if Sacramento wins D2, they have seven losses and a comparatively low rating.

Campo is a very good team. They have now beaten Salesian and MM.
How about giving Campo some credit.

Campo is good enough to win the NCS D3. Campo can score, they are very talented offensively.
And let's be honest, both BOD and Salesian are not exactly offensive juggernauts. Which means that a
potential NCS D3 section championship is NOT out of the question for Campo.
If that were to happen that would throw the entire open seeding into chaos...lol

Agree on all that. Much more parity this year then in years past...not as many superstar teams with superstar players so everything you say makes sense.
