Campo Beats Miramonte

11-4 came into the game flying fairly high with an 11-4 record while Campo limped in at 5-8.

However, Darren Clarke was back on the hardwood for the Cougars. He didn't start, played very limited minutes and was only a minor factor, but the Cougars took Miramonte down 65-55.

Another surprising result, but this rivalry's history is full of 'em.

Without Clarke in the lineup, Campolindo is an average DFAL team at best. Even in limited minutes last night, he sparked his team to a mild upset of Miramonte. In playing their best game of the season by far, the Cougars limited their turnovers resulting in Campo maintaining the lead throughout the final 3 quarters of the game. This may be the least talented Campo team in more than a decade; throw in a new coach and it will be a chore for Campo to make the playoffs this season.

A bit of s surprise with Acalanes defeating Las Lomas last night. It looks to be Dougherty Valley as the top team in the DFAL and perhaps their last hurrah before moving to the EBAL next season, along with Dublin.

Dougherty invades Campo this Tuesday. I'm not going to say that Campo should or even can win this, but don't be surprised if this one's a lot closer than the teams' records and rankings would indicate.

Even with Clarke in the lineup, I am picking DV over Campo. BTW Kiddman32, you look younger in person. I was at the Jesuit/EC game.

I've met Kiddman32 in person a couple of times. That photo also makes you look 10-15 pounds heavier then you really are. You need a new PR guy. Hope to see you out and about this season.

Kiddman, thank you for all you great updates, I am sure we all appreciate it. I will be at this game and I would put my money on Campo buy very surprised on how well Dougherty is playing this year with everything they've been thru but with Watson taking a year off, I think Hansen is the best coach in the DFAL.
