Campo JV is surprisingly (to me) bashing the Ugly Eagle JV’s 21-0… and in the CVC Red Zone.

I know the Coug JV squad is good, but so is CVC. I was expecting a close one, thinking CVC would win, actiually…. But the Cougs are doing WORK! 5:48 left.

Cougs never quite made the TD, but end up taking a knee twice to win 21-0.

Reed Jackson on the draw play, gets 15.

Jackson again, gets a chunk, first down on the Cougs 26.

Finally someone else runs the ball, gets 6. Couldn’t hear name.

Pass over the middle, complete to Zellmer, 1st and 10…. 20 yard line…

Handoff to Micah Parker, cuts left, gains a big chunk, 1st and goal.

Parrker stopped after maybe a yard, 2nd down.

There was a penalty on the TD, Cougs are kicking from the 45 of CVC.

Tried an onsides kick, it went out before 10 yards…. CVC hs it on their 42…

Too much time called… but CVC got the time out JUST before the call.

Run off right tackle gets a couple, 2nd and 8.

Bad snap, QB gets it, sacked, loses it again, but called down. 3rd and a LOT.

Pass over the middle to Joe Revelos, CAUGHT for a Cougars first down! Right at midfield…

Run right gets maybe a yard…. 2nd down.

Pass to Revelos in the left flat, he jukes a couple, but there’s a holding call. 2nd and 19.

Long pass over the middle to Reed Norton, wide open…. CAUGHT and waltzes into the end zone for a Campo TD!! But the PAT is blocked…. 20-12.

Kick returned to the CVC 38. Flags at the end of the play…. Refs talking it over…. CVC called for a personal foul. CVC ball on their own 24.

Run gains a few, but flags again at the end of the play…. Offsetting penalties. 2nd and 4.

Jackson appears stopped, but he pops out of the pile somehow and gains a first down at the CVC 45.

CVC picked a pass off… called for taunting during the runback. Had caught it on his knee anyway.

Anyway…. was quite confusing… but CVC has 3rd down on their own 5.

Jackson is a BEAST, carries a few tacklers to the 44, but flags fly after the play…. Personal foul on CVC. They end up right back at the 28.

Run gets about 5…. They are just going run middle all the time now.

Run gets 2…. clock down to 2:30 or so by the next snap.

Time out CVC after a couple tries to get Campo to jump offside… 2:23 left, 2nd and 8.

Jackson with a big, spinning, bouncing run, first down at the Campo 11. They kneel on it, ball game.
