Gotta admit, I think my guys are a longshot here, but they’ll make sure Dublin knows they’re in a dogfight...

Campo comes off a surprisingly low-drama (but not quite “easy”) win over San Leandro at home, and Dublin comes off an 11-day break after their double-OT win over Daugherty Valley in the EBAL championship game.

Campo is disadvantaged in the size dep’t, but not in the skills dep’t.

Both teams are 22-5, but Dublin has played a slightly tougher schedule...

I saw Dublin win the Gridley tournament; they looked awesome. Hopefully, the Cougs can keep them NOT looking that way tonight...

Costello baseline drive... 7-0. Not even 2 minutes gone yet, Cougs down by a touchdown.

Robeson nails a 3!! 7-3.

4:25 left now... 9-3 Dubln after a baseline drive, but Carter answers... 9-5.

Pretty spin move by Dublin #24 for 2... 11-5... Cougs turn it over... 3-ball by #3 for Dublin... 14-5.

Nice Costello pass sets up Dublin 2... Campo finally answers afetr back to back turnovers... and Chase takes a charge! 16-7.

Aidan finally finds the range... 16-10... and that’s the quarter. Lookin’ tough at the moment...

Callas drives for 2! 16-12.

Dublin scores off nice pass... and Cougs lose it... and Dublin scores again. 20-12.

Aidan splashes a 3! 20-15... and Dublin loses it ob!

Dublin drives the length of the floor for 2... 22-15.

Carter blows right past his man for 2.... 22-17. Cougs get it back, and Robeson scores on a putback! 22-19. 4:57 left in the half.

Dublin scores on a drive... 24-19... and Aidan right back with a nifty move... 24-21, time out with 4 minutes left.

Dublin scores from the elbow.... get a rebound, and nail a 3! 29-21 all of a sudden... Aidan scores, is fouled... FT goes. 29-24.

Callas scores inside after recovering a blocked Carter shot... Dublin answers. 31-26. Dublin scores inside, 33-26. Dublin gets a stop and tries to hold it for one, but Cougs hurry them a bit, missed shot... rebound... get it to Cardiac Carter... At the buzzer, he SINKS a twisting layup! Halftime score: Dublin 33, Campo 28.

Dublin scores first to start the 3rd... but Aidan nails a 3! 35-31.

Dublin drive and score... 37-31.. and another... 39-31.

Radell fouled on a shot... FT’s missed, but Robeson with a timely board, passes to Carter, who scores... but Dublin nails a 3. So does Aidan! 42-36, Time out Cougars... 4:43 left in the 3rd.

Radell scores inside off a nifty Carter pass... but Dublin answers, 4438... Radell hook shot goes... 44-40, but Dublin answers again... 46-40... Terrific Dublin steal... leads to a hook/layup by #13, I think... but Aidan nails a long-bleep 3! 48-43, time out with 2:10 left in the 3rd.

Suddenly nobody can score at all... 2 minutes gone by, same score...

Finally Dublin gets a score... and a steal and another score... suddenly it’s 52-45 Gaels.

Aidan drives, but gets swatted... but the Dublin guy falls out of bounds... Aidan gets another shot, a 3... GOOD! 52-48.

Callas try inside... jusssssssssst rolls out. Dublin rebound, time out with 2:43 left.

Aidan with a dipsydoo move, scores... 55-50.

Dublin answers... 57-50. 1:30 left.

Carter with a terrific drive and floater on the baseline... 57-52, time out Cougs. 1:19 left.

Cougs get a turnover, but another near-miss... and a great play by.. guess who? Coach’s kid Costello... He gets loose ball and is fouled... Still 57-52, Cougs into the hack-n-hope stuff now. 53.8 seconds left, Dub #24 at the line... FT’s go... 59-52. Pass inside to Callas as Dublin charging the 3pt line line animals... He is fouled, Ft’s split... 59-53.

Gael #24 fouled, at line... FT’s go. 61-53, but Carter gets it quickly to Callas for a score and time out... 29.5 seconds left, 61-55.

Immediate foul... Gael #5 at line for 1 and 1. Front end good, back end miss... Carter fouled at time line, no bonus... Couple tries by Cougs no good...

Dublin long pass, guy is fouled intentionally... 2 shot and ball. FT’s go... Final score will be... 64-55.

I heard the intentional foul was upgraded to flagrant. If so, offending Campo player is done for season. No NorCals. No State.

Thought Dublin looked well pre paired they played very solid defensively. I think the
Difference in the game was there ablity to get key buckets to start the quarters and a couple of buckets out of time outs they were really good in special siuations.Aidan

GO GAELS! Great Call Kidman. Campo is a good team. Biggest thing I noticed other than #20’s shooting prowess is that Campo does not foul. They play really clean. EBAL league there’s usually 10+ penalties on each side per half. Much more physical in the EBAL. Looking at Campos roster they are young too. I am sure they will be back.
