Just watched an exciting Salesian girls’ win over Pinewood, now it’s time for the boys to take over!

No need for much introducing here... ‘cept that these combatants have met before, back in December up at Gridley... Campo led by 17 at the half, but stone-cold shooting and the Salesian pressure did the Cougs in. 29-5 3rd q, if I recall... Score was 76-71.

Salesian has this 6’9” jumping jack that they didn’t have on varsity back then, a scary athlete named D. Johnson... Saw him against De Anza throw down about half a dozen alleyoop nasties awhile ago.

Aidan drives, is fouled, 2 shots. Makes 1. 31-19. Weaver draws a Sawyer charge!

Aidan with a fantastic drive for 2... 31-21.

Offensive foul on the Pride... 28 seconds left.

Aidan wih another amazing drive, shot goaltended! 31-23, and that’s the half after a long Salesian try bounces off iron.

Salesian flat out defends. Campo might fare a little better, if possible, with less 1 on 1s/isos and a little more ball movement. Not a whole lotta player movement away from the ball either in the first half from the cougars.

Still bummed I'm not out at sheldon tonight!

Salesian #2 sinks a 3 from Alameda! 43-40.

Aidan drives, fouled... 2 shots. First swishes... 2nd short. 43-41.

Sawyer does his thing in the post... 45-41. Last shot time... Cade misses, but a rebounding foul... Another try is just barely late. 45-41 after 3.

Coug rebound, pass down low to Radell... it goes! 51-49 Cougs... 4:46 left.

Terrific pass to big Johnson, Pride ties it up... Callas drives, and scores!! 4:14 left, time out with the Cougs up 53-51.

Congrats to your Campo and congrats to the Coug's biggest fan. Don't know how you can type so fast when the ball is flying and the last seconds are blowing off the clock. You got calm sniper fingers. In that situation my fingers blow up to the size of boiled knockwursts and my spell check goes all mad dog at that moment.

You have the calm of Clint Eastwood chewing a pencil size cigar in a Fistfull of Dollars and asks " Is that the best you got?" while being outgunned 3 - 1or in your case 10-1
