I'm out in Moraga tonight for Campo and Dublin. Will post updates at halftime and after the game.

7-7 tie at halftime. Lots of penalties on both sides. Key to the game could turn out to be Dublin's TD. Campo was driving to go up 2 scores at the half, but Dublin gets a fumble and takes it back for the tying score.

Dublin is relying on the power running game. Campo having trouble getting into an offensive rhythm.

14-10 final. I very good performance by Dublin. This is a step in the right direction in preparation for further DFAL play and NCS playoffs.

14-10 Dublin loses to CAMPO
21-14 DV beats Las Lomas

Dublin and DV look to be for real. Both rely on a power running game and both should win 2 games in the DFAL and make the the NCS playoffs. Both should continue to stick their game plan and run the ball in preparation for playoffs.

A few takeaways from the game:

Dublin was able to move the ball with its power running game. However, they were held without an offensive touchdown in being stopped on the 2 yard line to start the second half.

Campolindo's offense struggled to consistently put together positive plays. I would like to see them get Flower more involved. The offense was able to milk the final 4:47 off the clock.

It is clear Campolindo's No. 10 preseason ranking was too high. The Cougars are still very well coached that will keep them in the hunt for a league title.

Matthew Gutwald and Sterling Strother both had solid, but not spectacular games. They aren't the physically overpowering linemen, but were key blockers in their team's running attacks.
