Newman and Windsor games are still a go as of now and I’d think they will be fine. They are pretty far away from the Geysers and the actual fire.
Winds are expected to shift, neither game will be directly affected by the fire, but it would be smoke / air quality issues that would be the problem.

Yep. Its back to looking at AQI which is supposed to be under the limit to hold the games.
AQI looking good so far. Anyone know what or if there is a specific AQI threshold they use to decide to play or not?
Healdsburg and Cloverdale are the 2 towns that would be the closest. The Hounds just canceled their home game. Cloverdale plays at St. Helena, that should be OK.

Cardinal Newman vs Maria Carillo cancelled for tonight. Santa Rosa School district meeting to discuss alternatives.
Won’t happen. Power is getting shut off tomorrow afternoon until future bankrupt PG&E turns it back on which they’re saying will be Monday.

I’ll concede the right call by school Admin. North Bay is a mess right now and tonight/ early tomorrow it’s gonna get really bad. If winds stay as predicted there’s a chance there will not be a Windsor High school or Healdburg High come tomorrow morning. In fact there is a chance both those towns might not be there. Already mandatory evacuations, roads are a mess. A lot depends on the winds. Larkfield area (Cardinal Newman) would again be in the path if it is Northerly winds. Probably won’t be any Northbay football games next week.
Evacuation warnings are now clear to the coast. I believe that this weekend's games will not be made up and next week is very up in the air. Sadly football is low on the radar of concern, survival is of the most importance. Prayers and hopefully the predicted winds will not come to fruition tonight. Hopefully by the time NCS rolls around things will be back to normal.
Oh no, terrible these fires. As some of you know my Dad lost everything last year in the Camp fire in Paradise. Good to see Paradise High School football is back to their winning ways. Prayers to those affected by the Kinkade fire.
