In what has been talked about on the boards the past few days is now official.

Yeah we sort of
Thought (hoped) it would happen. Really good move. OR has some solid pieces returning and younger players but will be a rebuilding year for most part.

This is just my assumption, but I think Casey Taylor missed the grind of the SFL, but didn't want to stay at Del Oro. Took a few years, but made his way back.

Curious what role Cavaliere will have in the program. I think the future of HS football is a more of a shared work load on the coaching staff and not HC dominated.

IDK about that. I mean, I'm sure being in the SFL is something of an added benefit. But I think he still would have wound up at Oak Ridge regardless what league they resided in. Better put, he'd have opted for OR (if they weren't in the SFL) over any SFL program that also offered.

I can't know that for sure, obviously, but I'd bet on that being the case.

I agree that he isn’t going to Oak Ridge just because it is in the SFL. He might have always wanted to get back there. I think the fact they are in the SFL and is the upper echelon of NorCal football is the cherry on top.

If casey stepsnup oak ridge’s schedule i hope folsom feels compared to...out of curiosity, would folsom be even better with a coach like him or does having their current coach work well long term or is it too hard to tell yet?

I can’t wait to see the aggressive scheduling, as usual.

Also, while Folsom-OR will still be a premier rivalry — OR v. DO just got ramped up a few notches.

I think this is Bad News for Folsom.... In the last Real Season Folsom’s current Coach Couldn’t even lead the Most Talented Team in Nor Cal to the section Finals and had double digit losses to DLS and MT....

Will be interesting to see if Taylor will start getting some of those super talented kids that are going to Folsom over to OR, Especially if Folsom doesn’t make it back to a SBG this year or next with all the talented players they have....
