just wondering with many officials that do multiple sports will CIF and sections forgo the Sunday Monday dead days rule to accommodate all the athletic events. Like for instance if a team plays Sunday and Monday could those sports dead days be switched to Tuesday Wednesday??? It just a way to help make sure enough officials are around to cover the athletic contests...

Great point re officials. It's going to be tough to squeeze in all of these contests simultaneously with a finite number of refs, umps, etc.

I believe the only "dead day" is Sunday.

well this being a football forum, i think we will be fine with officials.... its the spring sports that may have issues.

If I’m not mistaken the playoffs will only go to the regional game this year. There will be no state playoffs for Football.

They had a tough time getting enough officials last year without any competition. You think this year will be any different?

That very weak SJ league had coaches reffing a few games last year. Even heard one coach had headset on as the back judge. Could be a good job to train the homeless in. I mean what a great idea, train them, pay them $50 a game and give em a hot dog and cola on their way out. Boom, problem solved. The better the league, the more officials.
