Being named WCAL POY is a great honor, however it doesnt guarantee you any collegiate greatness. Only Aaron Gordon, Tyler Johnson, and Marquis Kately have made such impact in the past 25 years or so.Devan Sapp, former WCAL Player of the Year, left Mitty after his junior year for a prep school, is now at SFCC?
When a player with his size and upside doesn't get D1 offers, it's usually because they aren't D1 eligible academically. He went to at least 3 different high schools and will likely get a ton of offers after 2 years at CCSFwow. unreal.... justin recruits on a different level i tell ya. no wonder campo kid went east.
the big kid from mt diablo go zero love from D1 schools??
put some respeckt on that name. it is CCSF #citysituationDevan Sapp, former WCAL Player of the Year, left Mitty after his junior year for a prep school, is now at SFCC?
I think some of it has to do with redshirting, last year not counting against the clock and/or sitting out a yearStacked team. Curious....some of these dudes have been out of highschool for 3-4 years, played collegiate ball....how are they frosh and sophs?
as long as you did not enroll in classes while being out of school your eligibility clock does not start. you can be a 30 year old freshman. If you played and were a student at some point then they count your earned units, seasons played and so on.Stacked team. Im not sure about that...I thought there is an age limit for NCAA sports. Doesn't NCAA allows a one year grace period after high school graduation (prep school don't count) for DI and II schools? I thought that one year after your high school class graduates is when your eligibility will start to be affected unless you're in the military or religious purposes....I could have swore I remember hearing that.as long as you did not enroll in classes while being out of school your eligibility clock does not start. you can be a 30 year old freshman. I’ve been watching the Rams since early 80’s and I’ve never heard of them 1x ever referred to as anything other than CCSF. And in huddles it’s just “city”I've seen "SFCC" for decades. You must be young.
I've seen "SFJC" too, but everybody calls it "City".I’ve been watching the Rams since early 80’s and I’ve never heard of them 1x ever referred to as anything other than CCSF. And in huddles it’s just “city”
You must be same person who says Cal goes by California University at Berkeley.
I’m pretty sure the rule is as soon as you enroll and attend in 12 units your NCAA clock starts and then you have 5 years to play 4…you can apply for a medical redshirt and get a 6th…shout out to Al Grigsby and 6 years of a California experience!
