Chase Bennett Signs

I lived fairly near the school when I lived in Oregon, but somehow never got to a game there...

They were 18-7 last year; roster had a whole bunch of NorCal kids on it.

Bit of trivia: Linfield is better known for football... Last losing season was... 1955!

Shanan runs a nice little program up there. Great guy, ran into him a few years back. And remember him well from his St Francis playing days.

Look who originally posted the news. Then think about it. Lol.

I'm surprised the kid didn't go play for his daddy. I thought the he was all state or something like that....

i thought he had 2 sons and 1 just graduated and is going to st marys. so they were twins?

They're brothers one year apart... And both played at Campo.

The younger is Cade, who will walk on at SMC this upcoming season.

Chase played a 5th year at Elite Prep in Washington.

Had to look that guy up... Campo grad 1989-ish, went to Westmont College, graduated 1993. No idea what he may be doing now, maybe a coach somewhere?

I have a good memory, but not THAT good... :) Besides, I'm not sure how many Campo games I was going to back then, but I'm sure the number was not zero. :)

He was one of the first stars to come outta Campo. His father (Bill Oates) was the coach at St Marys College for some years. He was a player for sure...

Those were great st Francis teams. Had a pg who went to Santa Clara I believe.
