Wildcats fall 81-69 in OT. Western Region POY Malik Duffy led Chico with 23 points before fouling out in OT. Great season for Chico, 1 game short of the final 4, finishing 22-5. Great game until OT. Chico had their chances in regulation but just fell short.
Augusta was the 2nd leading 3-point team in the nation for D2 according to the announcers. Miguel Arnold had 33 for Augusta on 7-10 from 3 point land, while the big 7’1” 265 center Tyshaun Crawford had 15 points and 14 boards to lead Augusta, who advances to the Final 4 on a 20 game winning streak.

Great season. Had a chance to win in reg. Augusta was legit. That 7-1 kid was a problem and the guard lit up the wildcats.
Augusta (team that beat Chico in OT) plays for national champ on sat. They handled Indiana (PA) comfortably in 2nd half.

Augusta faces Northwest Missouri State in the final. They’ve won both their Elite 8 games by 18 and 23, and have won 22 of their last 23 NCAA tourney games. Both teams are on a roll as Augusta has now won 21 straight games. Something has got to give. Should be a good one.
Northwest Missouri State knocked off Augusta 67-58 in the NCAA D2 Final for their 3rd straight D2 Championship title. The Bearcats fell behind 17-10 early as they were trying to solve the Jaguars’ dominant big man Tyshaun Crawford, but went on an 18-2 run before the half and never trailed again. Augusta did make a late run to get within 1 but were not able to overtake the 3-time champs. NMS was led by NABC POY Trevor Hudgins with 31 points.
