It is on twitter. The video and picture of the shotDublin makes a shot before buzzer goes off to tie but ref says no. I would like to see the instant replay on that one
Both refs waive the basket off in the video.. Before I saw the video I was wondering if they both made different calls on the shot. Thanks for sharing this observer22.
You're right Trivalley,, I just wish we could have seen the clock at the time in the video. If the timer and buzzer are in sync (I will assume Dublin's clock is state of the art) then the shot should have counted. The ball leaves the players hand before the buzzer. Game tied and winner should be determined by coin flip. If the game ended with a no call foul then game over. This IMO is different. Great game. Both should receive a CIF berth.

It's when the clock expires, as it sets the horn off at 00:00. I know everyone says beat the buzzer but it's the clock.I bet there was someone else in the crowd that got the clock and the shooter in a video. A pro backboard that lights up would have shown it.
For any refs out there, do you know if the game officially ends when the clock shows zero or when the horn sounds? Does the horn even matter? After 1.0 there are still the tenths that click off.
It really doesn't matter, as they're not going to change the outcome, but that is about as close of a call as could be. What an ending to a great game - One for the ages.
There is also a still photo that I saw (on twitter I believe but please don't quote me) showing the ball still in his hand at 0:00. When I saw the video I thought the ref was wrong as well. I was relieved to see the photo
Reports yesterday Said the rule in high school basketball if there is no red light or led light on the basket
Which dublin didnt have one The game is decided by the signal (horn) ball was clearly off before the sound of the horn.
I can see that they my say at the light before the horn as the light faster and is visual as to the sound and they can play them both back.. I've seen a case where the game was not close but the horn malfunctioned as the clock expired and did not go off.. It's a rare possibility but I've witnessed it..Interesting. Can you post the source? Again, not that it is going to change anything, but just good to know the rule and be able to assess what took place.
Saw the rule posted on coach costello's twitter page

Really hard to blame the officials on this one. A split second decision has to be made and it's not like it was obvious. No instant replay rule in HS. There are obvious blown calls and this is not one of them. This literally could have gone either way.
Unfortunately for Dublin, this one didn't go their way, and even if it had been ruled a basket, we would have just had a 3rd OT and they may have still lost. The best solution would have been for Beasley's 3-pointer to have gone in and then they win without controversy. At least this doesn't end their season and they still get to play on in NorCal.
It is pretty easy and appropriate to blame the officials. It was obvious to everyone that the shot was off before the buzzer.
