I honestly would trust Walsh’s judgment on what is best for the kids than those who have set the policy. His track record speaks for itself.
I almost feel like this is a battle with a parent whos go to is, “because I said so.”
When asked, can we see facts and data to prove the steps taken have been necessary? “No. We just know what’s best, that’s why. Who needs evidence to support our position, it’s just because.”
If there are substantial results showing letting kids play sports is causing death and serious injury of course take all prudent cautions. Shut it down if that is what proven what is needed to be done.
But when it’s getting to the point where 48 other states have managed it, California is starting to look like the lone dinosaur left looking around and asking where everyone went (they adapted and moved on and left you standing there to be exstinct).
