OBVIOUSLY, it takes so much more then talent to get to these games. But for shoots and giggles, the 2 sophomore kids both last named brown, as well as kaito Williams and Nguyen. They have a really good group coming back. I think they are easily top 5 in norcal again. Xavion Brown is the real deal.

Sheldon will be back in the top 3 teams or so in Nor cal. I think Modesto Christian probably has a little edge with their returners and size. Hard to know who stays and goes at these schools. I think a school like Folsom could fall pretty hard. They were senior heavy and not that deep.
They have an extremely athletic 6-6 frosh who looks like he might still be growing. I would not be surprised if he started with the two junior Brown's and Williams and Ngyuen. Xavion could be a high major guard and Williams also a d1 player.
You guys are also forgetting the other 2 Sophs who will be really good. Marquis Hargrove and Josh Williams. Last night of the 19 who suited up 15 return
Sheldon will be very good next season. I love the Brown kid. If he gets a jump shot he could be the best guard in NorCal regardless of class.
Salesian and Modesto Christian will be loaded again and will probably be 1 and 2 in Norcal preseason

Love that kid. He made some mistakes with some early turnovers, but more than made up for it with his aggressiveness and athleticism.
Can't count out Jalen Green and SJM either, the dude was killing as a sophomore. He's gonna be even scarier next season
I agree, it's hard to see him stick around. But you can count on someone from Fresno being pretty darn good.
Did you see the bench players? If they don't get transfers, I'd bet he's gone unless he loves Fresno that much. They lose a ton

Good list. I would put Grant higher than a lot of those teams though. They won 24 games this year and return their entire team which has multiple 6"4-6"7 kids.
I think Sheldon/MC/Salesian have a good distance from the rest of the pack though. ODOWD loses a ton. 2 Pac 12 guards and a great senior PG.

I haven’t seen a lot of Grant this year but heard they are really talented and young. But i did state that this list was in no particular order. I don’t see no clear cut team. I think Modesto Christian, Salesian and Sheldon will have the most talent. But as we all know that doesn’t always win you playoff games.
Good lists being put out there. I think Sheldon and Modesto Christian are the top two teams with some separation.
That MVP belonged to Gabriel Hawkins, both teams had the same record in league and same overall record at the end of the regular season. Hawkins meant alot more to Logan then Anderson did to MC.

@LoganHomer Hawkins is a good player. Saw him once against heritage. He scored 24 points against Johnathan Ned. But I’m just stating the facts. I believe Max Anderson actually won the MVP of the league. Hawkins seemed to have a lot better number according to MaxPreps.

1. Were teams lead by a group of Juniors on varsity that will return for their Senior year more improved? [Examples: 2017 Logan, 2018 Palo Alto, 2018 Heritage, 2018 CVC, 2018 Los Lomas, etc.]. These are the teams you won’t know about.
2. Nor Cal teams have to wait their turns sometimes. Example 2016 Modesto Christian graduated a top Senior class; during 2017 Modesto Christian was very young and beatable. This year 2018 Modesto Christian was back to the Open Level. The same happened for Bishop O’Dowd, 2014 Open Division State Finalist, 2015 Open Division State Champs, 2016 Division III Nor Cal Finalist, 2017 Nor Cal 1st round and 2018 Nor Cal Open Division Finalist.
At the moment, I believe Bishop O’Dowd loss a lot. As for Logan, recently they have had some good Senior classes in 2015 and 2016 and they didn’t go far. The 2015 Logan class might have been the weakest Logan class of the last 15 years. But at least now Fortenberry is Castro Valley's problem, hopefully they learn that the man simply can not coach basketball sooner then later for their sake.
Well Logan hasn’t had any big names players so i think they are doing a great job with developing players and getting the max out of them. 2017 they had the big man who was the only top 40 player in NorCal. Noah Conner didn’t come on to the rankings till late in season. I agree that class was special.
I do know the staff at Logan and they said this next years team is more talented and deeper than the 2017 team. Have you seen any of their transfers play? I hear that the guard that sat out this year is really good.

Just calling it like “I” see it as opposed to how that Program sees it. I would not call this putting them down as much as them being pumped up. Kinda like the injustice on that 7th seed and early exit from NCS. They are good just....... Good thing you just heard about them.

Plays for team Arsenal elite right now. Don’t know if he played last year. His name is Bret Thompson. I remember watching his older brother Bryce at Castro Valley. He was a solid PG
interesting, he averaged 15 points 3 rebounds and 3 steals leading the team as a sophomore and got to the line 140 times. That's pretty impressive.

@Straight8 i think ccs will have a huge drop off this year. Bells, Paly, St Francis, Menlo school and Los Gatos loses A LOT. I think Mitty, St Ignatius and Riordan will all be good and competitive teams. Riordan may be a top team depending on the status of the African kids they just got and how good they are.
