Does anyone know someone that went to or participated in a HS sporting event that contracted the virus within the 14 day window after the event? That is a big control group.
Does anybody know anybody who knows anybody who has gotten sick? Def no kids I’ve heard. (Probably fought it off without knowing). If you are high blood pressure, , diabetic, heart disease, etc, or over 80 be cautious. Obviously very compromised class.
Fortunately it seems like heathy people which includes 99% of hs kids are doing fine.
Went to a super bowl party in Stockton. I know I know first mistake. Lol. 2 people there got sick right afterwards. No telling who else there I didnt know who were sick.I'm right there with @ankleassassin . I was sick right after the Super Bowl, and my symptoms were sore throat, nausea, and a very slight fever, but not as high as they said on the news. I bedrested for 2-3 days like I do with all illnesses I usually get, and I was fine about a week later. I didn't sit next to the students for the games I felt ill, since I didn't want to get anyone sick. I know for a fact many high school teams were hit hard with illness all year, especially in San Francisco.
In terms of basketball schedule I think AAU/Nike & Adidas Circuits are going to be some of the first sports activities allowed. It's the perfect venue since the attendance is usually limited at these events anyways. I'm sure Coaches will be allowed in to recruit and maybe each player gets 2-3 people of their own. Will be really interesting, but this would be a huge opportunity for AAU to broadcast more games...especially online.
Super funny time. Before the super bowl I developed a bad cough. It was literally a good week in. Super bowl weekend I told my boss on Friday I am going home I feel like crap. He jokingly said don’t be trying to pull no Monday super bowl hangover. Slept all day Saturday. Slept thru the first half. Woke up for the second half and wish I would have slept thru it with the end result. I continued to have a cough for 2 straight weeks. Did feel ok, but also noticed when I went to sleep I could hear some wheezing as my wife had me sleep in the couch which we do all the time when one is sick. Who knows did I have it, not sure. But man once the symptoms came out I was like hey I had some of that.I'm right there with @ankleassassin .
