There's been little talk of this game and any and all predictions have Berkeley running away with it because of the gauntlet they ran in Norcals easily routing Oak Grove then venturing up to Sac to beat Jesuit and then going into Monte Vista to win there. On the other hand M-A went way out of their comfort level and into the O and beat McClymonds. Then went to the 408 and knocked off a WCAL team in Bellarmine who was a #1 seed. Berkeley and M-A squared off in the preseason with M-A coming away with a nice preseason win. Both teams are playing well and I think this game will be much closer than what the experts are predicting. Although Berkeley is more talented, M-A plays relentless pressure D, more like a WCAL team than a PAL where theyre from. Make no mistake, they were the BEST team in the PAL with all due respect to Half Moon Bay's bloated record. They also have a very under rated head coach in Mike Molieri who has paid his dues and worked under the Doctor at Riordan. As with all games, I think this comes down to whoever adapts the best in shooting at a cavernous NBA arena which many kids are not used to at this level. Year in and year out there are horrendous shooting % shot at the games played in SnoreTrain Arena. That said, IF M-A doesn't fall behind early they should be ok. They key will be the first half of this game as they are not a team who can score at will and can come back from any big deficit. I think their D keeps them in the game till they get use to the arena and figure out the depth perception. I'm going to go out and predict a 57-50 victory for M-A. Bear Down! M-A gets it done vs a superiorly talented team and is their last joyful ride before an annihilation next week at States
