DLS 59 - BG 71 Final

Pace starting to pick up, BG with some dunks on fast breaks and good defensive stops. But DLS nails big triple to cut lead to 3.
BG's big man Collins is a fantastic passer. Finds runner behind the back for easy layup. BG up 8. DLS at the line for 1 and 1, stop in play as Collins is bleeding and needs to be cleaned up.
Udenyi misses front end of 1 and 1, now BG going to line. O' Dea fouled out. This game is over barring a miracle. BG makes first one and up 9. And DLS turns it over.
DLS putting up 3's trying to get back in this but no go. Another BG trip to the line and lead now 11. 1:30 left.
Comments on part of game I watched which was the very end of 3rd and the the whole 4th. BG was the better team. Collins effectively passed the ball when DLS brought help on him, and the Gaels made their 3 pointers and FT's.
DLS has Udenyi operating as a facilitator at the top of the key, similar to the Warriors with Green. However, he looks hesitant to do much more other than pass and rebound on the offensive side of the ball. Teams are going to start getting up on him if he isn't going to threaten to dribble by. Asiasi will certainly help in the big man rotation when he joins in January. Against teams with a big man in the middle, DLS is going to have knock down some shots. Missed quite a few good looks tonight.

Yah I can't wait for all the replies. Yesterday dls was a double digit winner in this game and Collins was basically no good. Wake up people. I wish I was 6-10 to 7 foot with a ride to gonzaga. I've seen Collins .Zimmerman and jeter play on several occasions and I am most impressed with Collins.
BG played a great 2nd half. Hats off to them. It was tied at 31 at half and it looked like DLS might have some momentum in 3rd. Great answers by BG. I was really impressed with both Collins and ratinho. USF got a steal.
I didn't see the discipline that alloco's teams had. I can't recall to many games they gave up 71. DLS will be fine but this was a good wake up call when playing against top teams.

Wow, BG must have a darn good squad. Good team to test DLS in the preseason, and as Larry stated can be a good wake up call.
2 years. He only sat out last season and evidently played some hoops over the summer, so he may not be all that rusty when he returns next month.
Not only did he play he was a legit D1 prospect and a difference maker on the floor at even a young age. BG really came to life in the 4th. The game got away from DLS during the run. In fairness to Udenyi he played the big guy good and in the first half was scoring on offensive rebounds and little cuts to the hoops. He missed a lot of FT's which he does need to work on. But if you look at him from this year vs last year its quite a progression.
