DLS vs ODowd

yeah BOD is down this year is and DLS is loaded. Can't see this one even being close, especially is BOD is missing someone. Looking for DLS to open up their offense from the Allocco era.
Sports09- Ha ha… I'm with you. They are going to spank teams. They were "average" last year at 27-5 and have virtually the entire team back. Add 6"5 260 freak of nature (ASIASI) and its scary.

Asiasi is a great athlete, not a basketball athlete, but a football athlete that will eventually have a great shot at playing on Sunday in the future.

NSBasketball- don't kid yourself. Round 2? In Norcal. Ha ha…. Asiasi is a glue guy. He will be a double digit rebounder. Doesn't need to score on this team. He's a freak athlete. Alabama along with every top school in the nation doesn't recruit non freaks. Didn't say he was a freak basketball player. Lets talk come March. DLS will be playing.

I'm assuming that Asiasi, if he indeed chooses to play hoops, would have to wait until football is done... And that he has to practice some number of minimum hours before he can play in a game... Correct?
If all that is true and Sparty football goes to the State Bowl as expected, Asiasi might not see hoops action until the big MaxPreps tournament in Palm Springs. That'll be some tough competition in which to try to get your "basketball legs" back... Especially after having skipped the year before.
I know he's a fantastic athlete, but this is a bit of a tall order. Will be interesting...

These are HS kids guys. 17-18 years old. I remember transitioning from football to basketball or basketball to baseball. It was not that long of a process. Keep that in mind.

I think DLS will be very good, but don't see them as an easy #1. And I think Asiasi won't be back until Jnauary after he plays in his All American game.
How can anyone predict Moreau as #1 team? Who have they beat? what have they won? DLS win beat them by 20 minimum. They can't press DLS, with Ratinho handling the ball, you honestly think they would be able to trap him?

Sports 09: You are correct about the rankings.. Thats why I go back to this - DLS returns the exact same team that did nothing last year. Then out of nowhere they win the "Open Championship"? Doesn't make a lot of sense, but thats why they play the games.
Technically no team has beaten anyone. All preseason ranking are a series of educated guesses. Did De La Salle win this foundation game last year too?
Moreau shouldn't be No. 1 because they haven't won anything but O'Dowd (which has won something) is ranked too high at No. 9. Am i following that poor logic?

I just want people to realize how good DLS is. Get use to these boat races. Moreau got embarrassed by an undermanned Serra team. DLS will not have any issues with them.
