The sad part about this post is you use one mans accomplishment to diminish another.

The truth, pinewood, an equal d5 school beat them by 20 and 25. And Doc could be coach of the year also. The truth, practice at 5:45 had to be tough but let us not make them out to be actual soldiers for waking up early from their school dormitories.

Beyond that I thought it was a well coached game by DB and you would not get an objection from me for coach of the year but let's do everyone a favor and not use your tired agenda to pump someone up.

Have known Donovan since he lived on Palm ave in San Mateo with his beautiful wife and then young Daughter Brit.
Ran a group home for Father Ofeish.
Ran camps at Capuchino HS for NIKE
Coached at SM HS and the admin screwed him over a half time incident in private in the locker room and fired him.
Helped mentor Darnell Robinson from Emery HS and University of Arkansas but unfortunately Darnell always was one of the greatest underachievers who originated from the SF Oakland Bay Area.

Donovan was the best at what he does back then as he is now. Trouble was he was the new coach on the block back in the day and all the old boys network coaches made it difficult for Donovan to move forward - but he DID and he did it HIS way.
