Dougherty Valley summer tourney

Hi Heat, could you elaborate on the venue for Doughtrey valley tournament. Is Saint Marys set up for multiple courts?
I don't remember them having this setup. I guess they could put tape down for lines.
Inquiring minds want to know.

St Mary's College has Mckeon with 2 courts , Madigan, and a rec center. So I'm not sure what you are referring too.
Dougherty valley has been happening for years now. 2 high school gyms, a middle school and a rec center with 3 courts

How do you find out what teams are planning to play where, and when? No schedule that I can see on that link other than a vague reference to a Sunday single-elim tournament.
I've enjoyed the DV event in the past, but it seems I have been able to find out schedules and teams ahead of time. This year, nothing.
I avoid the multi-court-in-the-same-gym setup like the plague. Hate it.

I missed the DV tourney last year, but I went Fri and Sun two years ago, and only remember multi-court at the rec center. Watched lots of games held one at a time at all three of the other locales. Has it expanded so they have to go multicourt at more places?
edit: Now I remember that I did go to Sunday's games last year and saw Salesian win it.

Kiddman, HEAT is right, it's always Friday, Sat & Sun & usually on Father's Day weekend. By far my favorite tournament of the year, with the best teams around and facilities are 2nd to none. CoachDoubleP usually does all the postings of games and schedules and also works the event. Where else can you see BOD, Newark Memorial, Dublin, DLS, Sheldon, Salesian, El Cerritio, Mitty, Serra, Monte Vista & Campo all play?
The last few years, we have seen posts from tourney directors listing the teams signed up so far, etc. as early as March, followed by updates. This year, NOTHING of the kind.
I know those teams listed above normally play in this tournament, but since there has been no post from the tourney directors, I can only assume the tourney isn't even going to happen.
Hopefully someone from the tourney will announce the schedule and the teams in the field when or if it is finalized.

Yay! Schedules and teams finally listed. Had to clear my browser cache before the website would update, so I don't know how long they've been there.
First impressions:
No DLS entry, unless some of the Spartans are playing with "Elevate", a team repping that Concord training facility (which I had never heard of until I looked it up just now). That's a little disappointing to me, but then I have heard about DLS's results earlier this summer and maybe I shouldn't really *wanna* watch 'em.

Pool play Friday and Saturday with the first games of the day starting at 11am Friday with the last concluding around 9pm. One hour earlier start and end on Saturday. It looks like they are using two courts at Pleasanton Middle School and one court at each of the DV main gym and auxiliary gyms.
I'll be spending my Friday at DV, probably moving on occasion between the two gyms depending on which teams are on the courts... Can't go Saturday, but I'll sure be there Sunday...
No times listed for when Sunday's play starts; I seem to remember having to guess last year, but didn't think of the clear-cache trick then. Maybe it'll work when I peek at the site Saturday night after all the pool games are over...
