EBAL PREDICTIONS

1) DLS
2) Dublin
3) MV

This league will be very close this year and it could go any way... But until you've beaten the champ, you're still the challenger.

agree with DLS, Dublin, and Monte Vista in that order. However, Amador Valley could give Dublin a battle in their division. Dons were very young last year and should be much improved this year. Dougherty has a couple excellent players returning. Foothill and SRV also have a nice nucleus of young players.

Should be a very competitive EBAL basketball season.

Other than Dublin, the EBAL 580 group will make no noise in the playoffs if they even make it

a lot of great basketball going to happen this year with great talent around the league i got monte vista finishing as number 1 im excited to see how dublin and dougherty do in the EBAL lots of great teams this year only 2 terrible teams in my opinion and thats as always cal high and livermore but not a surprise at all just two teams that will never be good. i think livermore actually has a great chance of beating cal high in the toilet bowl this year. but other than that EBAL should be fun to watch anyone else think different or have any predictions???
GO DONS!!!!

Do not agree whatsoever.. California does return some impact players from the bench along with one of the best shooters in EBAL. They also got some big men around the boards that may save them some losses. Their roster doesn't seem to be finalized yet though as they may be pulling a few players from the football team after their season ends that may even end up as starters. They seem to have a great team chemistry and work ethic that may bring them to success.I can see this years grizzly teams putting together some great wins, and though they may not be beat by DLS and MV the games will be closer than expected. Also Expect this team to squeak into the Playoffs and maybe pull off an upset.

I do think cal will be an improved this year. I am not ready to say they will be a
Playoff team that may be a stretch DLS,Dublin and MV are the three best teams
with dublin having the best player in the league. I haven't seen the beasley kid
on dublin but have heard he is legit those games between those 3 schools
are going to be fun to watch.

What impact players besides Ryan Kwong do they have? They kept 5 juniors on Jv last year only 2 made Varsity..Parents already already complaining about Khoo many players didn't even tryout ,some transferred to other schools they have 1 freshman and 3 sophomores on the team ..now with the addition of Dublin and Dougherty Valley league gets even tougher..They only won 5 games in league last year.. They played division 4 teams in preseason last year .look for more of the same from Cal

DLS, SRV, Cal, Foothill and Granada all graduated their top talent. With the reclassification of NCS D1 teams, the only sure fire playoff team in this bunch is DLS.

I think its safe to say monte vista will be a Playoff team them and dublin may
both be better then DLS who lost a lot of senior talent and is in a
transition year with a new coach.

Agreed. The reclassification puts EC and Newark in D1 this year, so 2 less spots for also rans. But any teams that don't get in due to this would have been seeded #15 or #16 and would likely be bounced quickly anyway.

Dublin and Dougherty are now in the EBAL this year and both should have strong teams that could mean another 3 or 4 losses for some of the EBAL teams not named DLS or MV.

The whole reclassification is a joke ncs is a money grubbing organization just like
the ncaa. All they want is a packed gym for playoffs to fill there pockets. It makes no sense for some schools to have the boys in one division and there girl's team in another division and if was about competitive criteria then how would O'Dowd
and moreau not be in division 1.I feel bad for schools like mt.eden and Newark memorial
who got screwed in the process.

It looks like Mt. Eden and Arroyo are in D1 due to their enrollment and not from reclassification. The teams reclassified have a "C" after their names, which is just EC and Newark in D1 on the boys side, and Carondelet on the girls.

Moreau and BOD were reclassified from D3 to D2, so I guess maybe they will only move them up 1 division at a time? Once those teams show dominance at D2 they'll probably move them up to D1.

Arman Kermanizadeh is one of the more talented players on this team. Sixth man of the year type of player and a real sharp shooter. Look for Declan Degeorge to make a big impact this year- similar skillset to Matthew Dellavedova, a real hustle player.. Torian Parmelee, son of Raiders RB coach, made impressive strides during summer ball and should be a nice fit beside kwong in the backcourt. Ben Ip is a dark horse candidate to make the roster, but a playmaker nonetheless. his older brother was a stud a few years back..

Overall, it's gonna be a tough year but expect the team to pull out a few surprise victories and play an exciting brand of basketball

Dela =big man coming back and point guard/
MV- loaded with top player in league
DV - MVP coming back and wing man
SR -always has some players
CAL= lost some key big guys and toughness. Return top shooter

DUBLIN -Falls and Houston, 6'7 center, Freshmen point. VERY GOOD
FOOTHILL- some starters back and some good sophs.
AMADOR -some young sophs on varsity last year /JV was bad
GRANADA- best shooter back
LIVERMORE- nice team last year, one good shooter coming back

DELA to win it again
MV and DUBLIN will challenge

togos correct me if I am wrong jushan samra from doughtery valley who was the dfal mvp graduated
along with graybo the point gaurd. who are you referring to from MV as the league's top
player fadal?

MANASALA (all league player) is coming back. Samra was solid and Grabo ran the show but with Manasala and Sirini they have two great guards and undefeated JV team.

I just dont see Arman getting it done as a starter. Peeped my head in the alumni game and i was shocked to see him starting. The 2 guards shocked me because they were much improved since last year. Kwong has gotten better and has taken on the mamba mentality of doing anything to get his team the W. Torian played well and is a deadly shooter if hes open or has breathing space. Arman will get beat countless times down low as he lacks body fat and muslce. I dont see them winning more than 7 games tough year for the grizz. Hope to see the other 2 starters step up as well.
Word has it that cam norfleet tried out but ultimately was cut. With that coaching decision senior trevor leathley was shocked and he hung them up as well. Lost 2 marquee players in the program... rough but we shall see if the fighting grizz over come this.

That league is a 3 team race between dela MV and dublin and that is it
a lot of teams in EBAL are way down or a year away (doughtery,Amador Valley )from
being in the mix but this year it's those 3 and nobody else.

SRV played Dublin tough in their foundation game. 6 or 7 point game. Amador can't be overlooked

League play kicks off tomorrow with monte vista at dela right out of the
Box.

BASED ON PRESEASON (pretty easy to predict on paper)
Does anyone have anything different ?

1. Dela
2. MV
3. SR
4. Doughtery
5. CAl

1. Dublin (not even close 12-1
2. Foothill
3. Amador
4. Granada
5. Livermore

Looks good to me and I think Dublin is def the strongest of all the teams on the list.
