The other 3 games will be dependent on who and who not is playing.
Edison should have no problem with Sac high. Edison beat Sheldon by 1 and Sheldon beat Sac by 30 this past weekend at Capital.
If Grant has everyone I think they can beat Jesuit with or without Stojacavich.
The Weston Ranch twins are a lot to deal with but These teams have played each other a lot from Summer to now and play each other pretty even. Sheldon will be without Ty Virgil and Tylen Lomax

Vanden 60-44 over Edison…

Incoming junior Tyler Thompson is a BEAST! He was throwing down Eastbay dunks in warmups with ease. Vanden fans will have a lot of fun watching this kid fly around…

65-55 Jesuit over Grant…. Stojakovic played really well, best I’ve seen him, and transfer Kevin Haupt, who scored 28 ppg for Oakmont last year, looked terrific too.

78-64 MT over Granite Bay…. Blazers were spectacular at times, a bit inconsistent, a little streetball-ish. Lewis and Roseborough are the real deal, tho…

Sheldon pulls out a 59-57 squeaker in Game 4. Weston Ranch scored 6 straight to tie it up before Sheldon hit a midrange to get the lead with 5 seconds left. After a pair of time outs, Ranch got off a 3 for the win, but it bounced out.

Jesuit finishes strong in the first half to lead 40-33 over Vanden in a game that looks a LOT more like a playoff game than an October scrimmage.

Vanden scored the first 7 of the 2nd half to tie it, and it was back and forth the rest of the way…. and we get 5 minutes of….

After two empty possessions, Stojakovich drives, is fouled…. Makes a FT, misses, rebounds his miss, fouled again, sinks another FT to get the win.

These two teams will make a LOT of noise this season!

Overall really good event. Really solid teams from top to bottom. One complaint though was the officiating. Those from Sacramento know those two are beyond awful. And to have them ref 8 straight games is embarrassing. The teams deserved better.

Haupt was solid, will help Jesuit a lot this year. Smart, good shooter, small but fearless.

that is the reason why they have to do 8 games. nobody wants to come out there and deal with parents, coaches and kids for 30.00 per game. the 'good' refs dont want to be around the nonsense

You have zero clue what you are talking about. There are plenty of the better refs that do high school tourneys all off season.

Wasn’t trying to throw anyone under the bus but the head coach of the host team hired his two buddies who work at the high school. They are multiple reputable official companies in the area that could of been hired with not phone call.

Thanks. That is what I walked away with when I saw him against pondo last year. Although he’s a really good scorer. Better then I expected.
