Received email from Jim Petromilli, of BAOSN, The game will be broadcast On http://BAOSN.tv starting at 7:00 PM Friday. That's NCP no. 3 (Grant) vs NCP no. 5 ( Elk Grove ). Grant is currently ranked 23rd in the West Region for Maxpreps, and has a front line that averages over 310 lbs. per man. Both teams are undefeated ( 4 - 0 ) and have only allowed their opponents a total 35 points, while scoring over 38 and 45 points per game respectively. It's a marquee matchup in the Delta League and Sacramento Area.

It is awesome that so many games are available online live or on replay through Comcast hometown network, Should be a great game between EG and Grant on Friday

I haven't seen the Herd play this season, but I have a feeling they are going to give the Pacers a rough time. These teams have split their last 18 matchups and EG holds a slight 3-2 advantage since 2010. The Pacers ground game hasn't been as dominant as many expected and the defense isn't what it used to be under Reggie Harris. History suggests that this should be a battle.

I like the Pacers by a touchdown.

Watched a couple of games on The BASON stream and the picture was absolutely incredible .

That's not a bad prediction. Elk Grove will probably put 9 guys in the box like they have in years past. If this takes place, the Pacers must beat them up top.

I believe the run game hasn't been as dominant because the running backs are sharing the ball a ton. The Pacers are struggling to get in a rythym.

I'm also surprised that #1 is not playing defense. He would add more depth and grit to the defense.

The defense hasn't given up many points. They made great adjustments against Bullard in the 2nd half. They also shut out Franklin last week.

Elk Grove got nothing on the ground last season. They did most of their damage in the air. Should be an interesting game

They do have #3 Gerald Brown they can throw it up to. The kid is 6'2 or 6'3 and can go and get it. He made a super nice TD grab against Bullard against tight coverage.

Agree on BASON. I've been very impressed with their product. The announcing can be tough to listen to on most streams, but the announcing on BASON has been solid too.

They also have #4 to throw to. He has been blowing by the db's all season long. It would be nice to see #1, #4, #3 used more in the passing game. This would indeed keep the opposing defenses honest.

So how do you turn on the streaming video? I went to the Elk Grove vs. Grant page and there is no access to where the video will be.

Ok, I have it playing now.

Wow, Ryan Robards of Elk Grove has 4 tds against Grant already. 1 on offense, 2 on defense, ( 1 interception return, 1 on a deflected lateral), and 1 on a punt return. All went for tds. This kid is awesome. Elk Grove leads Grant 28-7 with 3:41 left in the 1st half.

Now Ryan Robards just took the 1st play from scrimmage 62 yards after a Grant 3 and out and punt. This kid is amazing. He also kicks off and field goals. 35-7 Elk Grove.

I dont know who Ryan Robarts is but he is putting on one of the most impressive displays I have ever seen. I have never seen an athlete do this to Grant. He has single handedly dominated the Pacers!

Glad they have this on BAOSN, watching from the San Mateo area. Elk Grove is playing a great game, Grant is playing hot and cold. EG 28 Grant 7. Ryan Robards just scored, he has 5 TDs so far. A 1:15 to go in the first half.

I was telling someone this week that it was tough to judge EG against the other top teams with their early schedule. Pretty easy to judge them after tonight.

Grant with it's loss to Elk Grove will end up in D-2. Elk Grove with the win vs Grant will win it's league (D-1) and will play in the SJS D-1 playoffs.

The Pacers got smacked! In every facet of the game. This loss was as bad as the lost to Johnson during Parris Warrens senior season. EG played a great game...

Lol. I was on that Johnson team. Grant did come back and beat us in the semis and win the section.... Probably the worse loss I have personally had as a player or coach.

That was week 3 of the 1999 season. The Pacers went to Johnson for a Saturday game in the heat and got smacked down 51-13. They went back to Johnson for another Saturday game 2 months later and redeemed themselves with a 33-14 victory.

That team went on to blowout 12-0 Jesuit in the Semi's and 12-1 Golden Valley in the Finals.

Thanks for the reminder thunderam. lol.
Lots of stuff went wrong for our team late in the year, tons of health problems. With that said Grant got on a roll after we beat them and never looked back. Don't be surprised if they do it again, their so talented it's crazy!

Your Tigers are pretty talented too! Hopefully this is the year for you guys. IMO, Indy and Terry don't get the respect they deserve simply because they haven't broken through yet and won a section title. However, their .832 winning % since 2005 is the highest in the SJS among D1/D2/D3. Only Central Catholic (D4) has been better. Grant and Folsom are both at .826. While I realize that Indy plays in a D3 league, that just goes to show the company they are in with regard to consistency.

I played for Terry when he was the OC at Casa Roble. He's a fantastic coach. We didn't know it back then, but we had a helluva staff with Terry, Norm Ryan, Jeff Baer, and Steve Kenyon.

Last season Grant won the Delta League outright and still was put in the D2 Bracket as the number one seed. Why would it be any different this season if Elk Grove should win outright. Unless the powers to be did not want to have a Folsom and Grant matchup in the same playoff bracket. But I did read somewhere that if you play in D1 League and win the League Title, you have to play in that bracket, regardless of your enrollment division. I guess that did not apply last season for Grant. So much for having the rules apply for all schools.

Unless they have changed things from last year the brackets are still enrollment based right ? The top 16 teams in enrollment are in the "D1" bracket and the next 16 in the "D2" bracket. Both are D1 schools just too many for one bracket. Consider them 1a and 1b.

Nice stream! Caught a little of this game on my phone. Man, by the time I tuned in Grant was done. Grant looked good but EG was giving it to them and had took Grants heart.

SJS changed their rules this year. If you win a D1 conference you must play D1, regardless of enrollment. EG was D2 last year also, but if they win their conference they will move up to D1 for this year. Grant's path will be a little easier in D2 as some of the conference champs who would have been D2 last year will be D1 this year.

Assuming Folsom wins the SFL, Del Oro and Rocklin would end up in D2 if they make the playoffs. Granite Bay and Oak Ridge would still be D1, I believe.
