Well of course not everything..........
When I speak of a winning philosophy it all is centered around a focus on winning.
They ( The Eagles) played strictly to win and not "not to lose". Too many folks are stuck in the past way of approaching a circumstance. From a victim mentality instead of a victors. Focusing on what might happen if you don't do something instead of what will happen when you do do something. You can believe whatever you want to believe. Only one of two things can happen anyway. You win or you lose. The situation is not life threatening so why be a coward?
As I have been often quoted as saying " I'd rather lose coming at you with all I got then to lay down like a doormat so you can just trample over me".
Yeah I might lose if I take a chance, and I can focus on that, if I want to. Or I can win, if I take a chance, and I can also choose to focus on that. I call that courageous focus. Courageous playing. And courageous coaching. Real player shit. Where you stay in control, and dictate to you how things will go. Not someone else. It's just a game. I know how to shake the opponents hand win or lose afterwards. I like to always be able to look in the mirror at someone who never let me down because of fear, timidness, or lack of confidence.
"The biggest chance you can take is to not take a chance at all.", E-40
The under dogs can win. Especially when they courageously play to win. Because the worse thing they can do is play not to lose. I call that scary playing and scary coaching. Timid shit. Where the other team and other players stay in control. Now you choose. To take control or give it away. Keep aiming for your victory by Choosing to stay in control.
Like my big Bay Area hometown homie E-40 said "we all have choices".
Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles !
