I am working with Dan Dickau (former Gonzaga guard) on promoting his new product,
www.Scorebooklive.com. This website and mobile app will allow you to follow your favorite teams
in real time when you can't make the games in person. This is the latest and greatest website / app and I think it's one of the best features I have seen in a very long game. Easy to download there app and very easy to get started & again, everything is free for the Teams & Fans. I am doing the Clayton Valley @ College Park league playoff game tonight at 7pm as well as the Campolindo @ Dublin game tomorrow @ 7pm.

If any program / team is interested in join Scorebooklive.com, it's a great way to stay connected with your fans, former players, alums, boosters, family & friends. Please go to www.scorebooklive.com, when the website pulls up, click on Scores, you will see a Calendar and click on your teams game date and it's easy to follow your team, play by play, score by score. I will have the Clayton Valley Charter @ College Park game loaded here shortly under Thursday Feb 18th.

Chino Hills, CA, Fairfax, CA, Oak Hill (VA) as well as Sheldon, CA in Sacramento have all signed up and are using Scorebooklive.com.

Please call me if you have any questions and or want more information on how to get started for your basketball programs.

I like the look of this app a LOT. I've added all my teams of interest (also a lot) and hope to be able to follow the games that I can't actually get to (some are sold out, like tomorrow's Moreau game for example... Mostly, I just haven't figured out a way to be at a bunch of games at the same time).

Hope this thing takes off...

Kiddman32, thank you and this will be my first time doing it tonight at the Clayton Valley @ College Park @ 7pm. I hope it goes smoothly and I would like any feedback you may have to help improve.

Probably the biggest issue at many high-school gyms for live-scoring/reporting or following other games live is connectivity, at least for iPad owners with only wiFi and no cellular connection, like me.

Many gyms have no wifi at all, and of those that actually HAVE it, many won't give up the password to someone without official connection to the school or the team or somebody.

Obviously, this is no problem at all if you score the game then go home and upload the info using your home wifi, just delayed a bit.

If this thing REALLLLLYYYYYYYY gets going in a couple seasons or so, to the point it's truly a widespread thing, the next step would be one-click sending straight to MaxPreps.

Kiddman32, great questions, same one I had too. If a team doesn't have there own iPad, scorebooklive will have one sent to your program and it comes with free Verizon's 4G LTE data, which is something they pay for on each iPad. I did the entire game at College Park and only used 4% of the battery, It's a very low data application. Did you have a chance to follow it? Your thoughts?

Kiddman32, once this is approved by the NCS, you will be able to click a botton and send it to your local newspaper, no more calling in your game scores to the paper, I know when I coached, everyone hated calling in the scores, getting a busy signal or they are so busy they have to call you back, no more calling in your scores and there are also 2 additional buttons on it to send the score to your Twitter as well as FB.

Is there a way to view results after games after finished? Just downloaded the mobile app and can't seem to pull up the college park game from last night.

I didn't get a chance to follow the game, was out listening to live music. Might try it with tonight's Campo game while I'm up at Napa JC watching Prolific Prep.

Most of the time, my main enjoyment of this product will be checking the scores and stats after the games, ie. going to a game somewhere and then jumping on the website after getting home to see what happened in all the other games of interest from that night.

Kiddman, you are right, it's for fans, parents and big backers to follow it live or for junkies like us, to see a box score instead of waiting for the newspaper later that evening or the next morning.
If you get a chance to follow the game tonight, please don't hesitate to give me your feedback.

I tried to download it to my cell phone last night, but it appears it is only for iPads.

I followed the Campo game tonight as I watched the Prolific Prep game.

It worked smoothly as I "watched" Campo almost pull off the big upset. Only thing that could use improvement is: It would be nice to see minutes and seconds on the game clock, at the very least during the final couple minutes of the game. I can see how that might be difficult to implement, though.

Those buttons do post the times and they showed up in the game feed, all I'm saying is that it'd be nice to see down-to-the-second times shown, esp. when the game is close late in the action. As I said above, I understand how that may be tough as hell to implement and even tougher on the operator of the ap... unless the ap could somehow be tied to the gym's game clock.
