De La Salle's first game is a real challenge vs. St. Thomas Aquinas. If it turns out that they lose that game, would there be a tendency for hs football polls (Maxpreps as an example), to move Folsom to #1 in Northern California, or would most pollsters wait until game 4 when DLS and Folsom play.

My personal opinion. DLS is #1 in NorCal until proven otherwise. And I would love to see them lose to a NorCal team in my lifetime as long as it’s NOT Folsom. But another side of me thinks it will be a sad day for NorCal football when it happens.

Now that the flurry of posts about Folsom dominance despite a loss to DLS has passed, maybe we can have a real discussion about the merits of Folsom vs DLS.

Who do you have on the radar to possibly beat DLS if it is not Folsom?

Obviously Folsom is NorCal’s best chance at beating DLS. I’m a NorCal football fan. I’m not at all a DLS fan. But I’m even less of a Folsom fan. After being in the Folsom stands against DLS last year and my short time on this site, I’ll put it nicely and just say Folsom fans make it easy to not like them. But let’s say Folsom does beat DLS. Then what are we stuck with? We’re stuck with Folsom as the #1 team in NorCal after beating Jesuit, Antelope, DLS, OR, MA, etc..... witch basically means NorCal football is no longer relevant. I feel I’m beating a dead horse here but as the #2 team in NorCal Folsom needs to step it up. That’s just my opinion.

Zero chance Folsom moves past DLS.
