Should be a great game this week v. Freedom, just a few things to note. How is the Soph. QB Woolridge cleared by NCS after his athletically motivated transfer from Cal? At the rate NCS moves on these things have they even reviewed the case yet? Any Foothill or Cal guys know more here? Will Foothill potentially forfeit games? Also on a sad note one of Foothill's top players will be leaving the team for personal reasons for a few weeks. Could be a big loss for the Falcons.

I understand that his parents are split up and he is now living with one of them in Pleasanton. That takes care of the residency issue, but it was still obviously an athletically motivated transfer. It used to be that you got one free transfer after your freshman year, but then there was some automatic 5 game sit? Heck, I can't keep up with all of the transfer rules. They hammered those CVC transfers last season.
Did Lemon make a ruling on this case? Inadvertent whistle? No penalty?

Posting "inside info" may sometimes make for an interesting thread but one has to be very careful when crossing into the personal lives of these kids,

Concrete, do elaborate on how I'm way off base here and I'm not going to go into details about his family's current situation. I'm asking about a much debated topic on this forum with no new info and identified no kid but name, position or class in reference to a good player sitting out the NorCalPreps game of the week?

I have to go with the fact that I know the family and situation much better than I know you or any other information you may be privy to (though I will respect the fact that you have been a member of this forum longer than my self .....by 18 days).
What has definitely not been the best familial situation has there ever once been any mention of transferring schools solely for athletic gain while our families have been together. I understand you did not take a shot at his home situation but as I understand it, his transfer was "motivated" to move with one of his parents rather than "movtivated" solely for athletic reasons.

We had a kid who moved in with his dad when he used to live with his mom in SJ. Gil decided that he wouldn't be allowed to play his entire senior year unless he went back to SJ, which wasn't an option. I'm pretty sure the dude makes decisions with the assistance of his brain trust.
He does in fact live in the district. He is a Sophomore first year of Varsity football. I think the NCS rule only pertains to kids who have a year of Varsity under their belt at another school...but I could be wrong.
Good point Beast. I'm sure that is a key. Had he played his sophomore year on the varsity at Cal and then transferred to Foothill as a junior to live with a parent, then it gets that much stickier.
