Game du jour…. Berkeley at Dougherty Valley.

It’s halfime of the frosh game, 31-18 in favor of the host Wildcats.

61-46 final for Dougherty… On to the JV’s…. I’m starting to think I may have chosen poorly, partly due to incomplete MaxPreps schedule at other schools.

23-14 Berkeley after 1 quarter. This looks like it might be a good one…. Berkeley scored twice in the last 19 seconds.

Another flurry at the end of a quarter, Berkely leads DV 38-23 at the half.

46-33 Berkeley with 2:45 left 3rd.

DV gets a last-minute flurry this time, to close it to 48-39 after being as far back as 18 or so. 4th quarter…

Just like that, DV takes the lead! 51-48, 5:34 left.

53-52, DV leads…. exciting game!

Berkeley halfcourt steal and score, 54-53…. A stop, a foul…. 1 for 2. 55-53 Berkeley, 1:32 left. Big man of DV with a post move, no…. but Berkeley shot bounces out to DV. 55 seconds…

Berkeley blocked shot, wild exchange of back and forth, turnovers galore…. Now still 55-53 Berkeley, their ball on own end.

Wild melee, loose ball, but Berkeley gets a hold on it and coach gets a time out…. 17.1 left.

Berkeley gets it across, DV has to foul…. 2 shots. Nope, NOPE!

7 seconds, great move by a DV guy… but shot airmails the rim. 55-53 final, Berkeley gets the win.

Not the prettiest thing I ever saw, but that was one heck of a JV game…

Varsity…. Both teams are 3-1, but it appears that DV’s slate has been quite a bit tougher.

Berkeley starts three juniors and a soph…. Didn’t catch the class of the first guy.

DV doesn’t have their Dublin transfer, but they do have Rashod Cotton, who I believe is a Modesto Christian transfer.

Nice little 11-0 run by DV right at the start of the 4th quarter puts this one in the deep freeze…. Now it’s 72-48. Under 4 minutes…. I’m outahere….
