Inderkum H.S.
We got dropped w/o notice yesterday.
We need a game 9/18, willing to play anybody.

???Dropped without notice? What kind of notice were you looking for? " Um, excuse me, but tomorrow we are going to drop your contest with us which is 5 weeks away."

WOW!!!!!! How does that happen this far into it??? Sorry to hear this
All the OAL did is to serve notice that the league can't be trusted....All the schools in northern Calif. should take note and put the OAL on the black list until they get their act together...This is a low blow to Inderkum who has almost no chance to fill the scheduled date.

Berkeley coach did the same thing to Monte Vista and Pittsburg. I think he means last minute because everyone's schedules are set by now and usually there are not games available.

I am guessing you are not quite up to how scheduling is done. High school scheduling for head coaches has almost become a year round job. To be dropped this close to the start of the season almost guarantees an open date and that hurts a program from so many different levels. Some coaches are already preparing next years schedule as we approach the start of this season. This is just what it has become.

No idea what the reason was. I know The OAL is starting to look up, a bit. Skyline is starting to show signs of life, Oakland High is starting to show signs of life, Oakland Tech is doing something right because my nephew almost went there, Macs still the favorite, there may actually be some parody this season unlike the traditional 1 team and everyone else with an anomaly coming once every 7 years or so.

Castlemont was still looking for a game 5-7 weeks ago. worth a try....
Out of curiosity I looked at the games wanted section at a couple of the section web sites. mistark might have some luck finding a Central Coast Section team to hook up with. Still, a pretty crappy situation. Neck veins would be bulging if this happened to me, and the sport I schedule for has a lot of flexibility.

Tough to find a game in such short notice much less a competitive one. Castlemont probably would be more like a scrimmage for Inderkum. Anyone know why Oak Tech dropped the game? Seems OT (home of Beast Mode")has been one of the more competitive teams in the OAL for football. Maybe not so any longer. It's sad how much the OAL has declined in football with exception of McClymonds.

First impression.... ha. What the guy wrote makes no sense. Even the guy who tried to defend him misstated himself.......

Funny, you're the only one that's replied thus far that's had trouble following. Everyone else understood what "without notice" meant.

I guess you guessed wrong. :)

Sad to hear this! Yep, Coaches are in the Grind trying to schedule games. If that OAL Team still committed to this game and should they have won...this wud be an impressive win for that team & the OAL. Inderkum is a SJS Perennial Div. III Playoffs Team....
