The game of the week is Liberty invading Pittsburg this coming Friday night...The winner, be it Liberty get first place, but if Pittsburg wins, they must face Antioch which could be a spoiler and they could be the champ...It also means a high spot in the playoffs, so there is a lot riding in this game. The key to victory will be discipline and brute force....Who will use these is the question, Liberty has the superior air game and a good running attack...Pittsburg will attack from the air but will also run a good ground game...Any body going to the game, get there early get up high on the stands because there could be a lot of fireworks taking place, .and you will see it all.

Guys...I thought that this was the year that Granada was going to knock off Calif. and Monte Vista...they came close to beating Calif. but Monte Vista was just too much......It was a very interesting season for Granada...

Congrats to Granada...Liberty ...I think Pitt may upset them...Wildcat Stadium at Wood is gonna be packed & a sell out!...I am thinking Vanden will win though...hope to see San Leandro do well...I am going for Benicia to upset Las Lomas...Going for Grant...did Grant switched to the Spread? What happened to Napa?

Keep in mind granada is a D2 when going up against Cal and Monte Vista. Granada has had a hell of a season. Really like this team.

Good analysis on the Liberty Pitt game Bluedog.

I have been really disappointed in the local coverage of this game. The de facto NCS championship the lions have should not be garnering the elite or powerhouse status the way the Times suggests. Very good team. But having an elite national recruit for the first time ever does not garner powerhouse or elite status. See Antioch. Especially when you have never been to the new NCS Open or have one the modern BVAL or being a key factor in getting De La Salle moved out of the BVAL. The write ups have been extremely short sighted and lazy.

That being said, this is going to be a very good game between two very good teams. Can’t wait
