The game of the week again is in the BVAL as Pittsburg travels to Antioch on Sat. for a must win for both teams.. Pittsburg lost a close one to Liberty due to turn overs. and were with out their QB and again this could be the same problem....Antioch has one of the best QB's in the league who can pass and run and is very dangerious..Pittsburg has a nasty ground attack and will be all out to stop Antioch, the winner get a better seed in the playoffs, so there will be plenty of fireworks.
The pick.....Pittsburg 6-3 3-1 at Antioch 7-2 2-2...….Pittsburg 52 Antioch 37...This game could turn into a trench battle and low scoring, but both teams are able to score.

San Ramon 5-4 1-2 at Monte Vista 7-2 2-1.....The pick.....Monte Vista 31 San Ramon Valley 21...this is a neighborhood battle so any thing goes.

Kennedy of Richmond 8-1 3-1 At Salesian 5-4 3-1.....The Pick..... Kennedy 31 Salesian 19.....Winner keeps 2nd place in the Tri Co. Rock league.
Wood 7-2 3-1 at Vacaville 5-4 4-0.....the Pick.....Vacaville 45 Wood 20....another backyard fight, this is part of the triangle of Vacaville, Wood and Vanden….The Bulldogs sweep the triangle this time... The Bulldogs took care of Vanden earlier 55-35 and Wood dropped a 35-21 loss to Vanden.
Folsom 8-1 5-0 at Del Oro 9-0 4-0.....The Pick..... Folsom 61 Del Oro 14...But you never know...The Golden eagles .have a way of rising...the scare by Grant may have put fire into Del Oro???

Always enjoy your post and all the research. Well done Bluedog2. Oak Ridge has an interesting non league homecoming game against Elk Grove. Weird the way it falls in the schedule. In any event could be interesting. I like OR but I could see Elk Grove winning. Should be a good game.

Would add Rancho Cotate vs Ukiah. Both teams are 3-1 in league. Ukiah has the best running back you’ve never heard of #3. Rancho should win due to depth and skill position but would not surprise me if this game is close.

Larry.....when Elk Grove is up, they are hard to beat, but even when they are down, you can't turn your back on them...I watched Oakridge a few years ago when they had the battle at the capitol type games and they were big , man for man with a good QB and a strong running game....

I’ll be suprised! Rancho better give them the Eureka and Newman treatment! I mean Santa Rosa and Windsor had them on the ropes.

The back is a legs churning, hard nosed runner, very hard to bring down. Not elite speed but good speed. You need to use QB as a runner to neutralize aggressive RC ends. If not RC will walk all over them

GUYS......There are a lot of kids as running backs,QB's linemen and recievers that we never hear about that are part of what makes high school teams go,Every team has them, we just never hear about them...

NORTHBAYQB......That #3 on the Ukiah team is Lucas Stanley, a 5-10 205 pound running back.....Maybe some one will watch the game and give us a report on what they saw.???

One of the better CCS matchups features Palma at undefeated Aptos. Palma is the underdog but took out a very talented Menlo Atherton team in preseason, and Aptos has been rolling along and taking care of business each week.

I'm picking Palma in a close one, 34-30.
